Hi guys

I just got reply from my MP. Please see below.

" Application received by Mississauga Immigration office Mar 9, 2012. Sent to New Delhi Embassy June18, 2012 .There has been no selection decision made on this file. Backgrund checks still have to bereviewed so are pending .Medicals arevalid until Jan 18, 2013. Fees have been paid . Passport received July 9, 2012. Standard processing time 7months."

From what I can understand it is in the last stage, background check. Since my wife has only lived in india, I am thinking it will not be long before decision mande.

What do you guys think.

My address has a minor mistake

Only house number is wrong, rest of address is fine, that too they missed one number in my house number.

I got ppr letter via email.

In letter also on top the house address was wrong.

I sent them email for correcting the adress nearly a month back, but today as i can see they hv not updated the address.

Pls any suggesstions.
ok i hope they have already done correction but to be safe, you have some more options to contact ND VO. try to send case specific enquiry, FAX and letter by post with correct address.

wat is MP nd GCMS? wat does it stand for....?

Ashu, I was interested by your response and thought of two things: first, there's no hard and fast rules when it comes to Delhi. The very fact that they're starting to conduct out of the blue phone interviews is something new. So we shouldn't assume that a phone interview negates the need for an in-person interview.

Second, if the sponsor accompanies the applicant to the interview, there's absolutely no evidence to believe that this would be viewed unfavourably by the visa officer. It might conversely be seen as a sign that the sponsor is committed enough to travel over from Canada, which is obviously a point in her favour. Maybe both will be interviewed but maybe not - we've seen both types of scenarios among people on this forum. I hope the sponsor in this case doesn't become fearful of accompanying her husband for the wrong reasons, should they find themselves in that situation. That's my two cents.
yes amira you are right but i have been through same situation and i think, it would be better to attend interview alone, if sponsor is outside of India.
in case sponsor travels to India especially for interview, VO asks
*why didnt you visit your spouse before interview, its been a long time after marriage. it seems you came just to support your spouse because s/he is not confident about explaining your relationship. and your intention behind marriage is immigrating your spouse to Canada.
*they dont interview sponsor, if they have no doubts about relationship, i mean if reason for interview is something else such as misrepresentation, missing docs, applicant's background or intention to immigrate to canada. but if they have doubts about genuineness of relationship, they will interview both and separately.

after all it really depends on individual person, if they think, they can handle that situation, they should attend interview together :)
if you go to interview together, interviewer can ask you very simple questions and you wont be able to answer correct something like
"colour of your driver's dress" and we dont remember ;)
*what time did you
-go to bed,
-wake up
-leave for interview
-did you both take bath this morning and where, what kind of soap and shampoo, color of towel and where did you put your towel after bath :P
if wife is pregnant or not? if yes- when is she due?
if no- why not and how can you say that for sure?? name/brand of precautions you used.
and they ask these questions separately and match your answers :)
there is no list for these questions but they can ask anything to confuse you
be careful and best of luck to everyone waiting for DM :)
i know these questions are very simple but its very hard to answer correct at the time

hi ashu,,,....

my case is little bit complicated.........as there is age difference b/w me and my wife . my wife is 4 years elder than me nd also she is having remarriage....so according to u, we definetely wud be having interview....but in my ECAS it shows "in process" as i already told u.......but generally people says that if once status shows "in process", it means interview has been waived and after "in process", DM status come......

this makes me confused....wat does it indicate.....is there any chance of intervies or direct visa wud be stamped, as my passport has already been submitted on 18 aug 2012.....
plzzz.....plzz...plzz.....it is very tensed suitation for me...pllzz help me out....

MP is member of parliament and you can contact your local MP in Canada to request your application's status from ND VO. it takes 1-2 days to get reply from MP with all details about your case.
GCMS notes are computer generated notes for your application (usually 20-40 pages) you can order GCMS notes online by paying $5 fees. it takes 30 days to receive notes and you can get detailed information about your case processing in notes including your visa officer's notes about your case. (what VO thinks about your relationship)

ohh ok but 4 year is not a big difference and there could be an interview because of remarriage but if your ECAS is "in process" its a great news and i think interview has been waived and next step is DM :)
good luck :)

thanks ashu...
u seems to be very helpful in this forum.......

thanks and stay blessed...
