I called MP office and found an ast. there. He asked me to come there and I went this afternoon. He called Montreal office to find current status of file. The office told him that eerything is fine amd the file has moved fast. It's almost at completion and it will take couple weeks to finish the process.

Is this good enough? Or Shld I ask him to call/email new delhi office?

noor. idealy from the previous comments. not more than two weeks. you shuld check with postman of ur area.. might ask for some cha pani.

Just wanted to know the reason for the delay in sending your passport to HCC?

I have received a letter asking to send my passport to ND. I'm travelling and may send it after a month...Do you know if there is a time period within which I shud submit it?

It will be mentioned in the letter the time limit to send your passports like 30 days, 45 days etc....When I received the letter for PPR it said within 45 days...Good luck

nd just a quick note you have to live with your bf/gf for a year before filing your pr.....note you have to give extensive amount of paper work to show that because if your other half is in Canada and you in India that is impossible to do...so your case will be rejected rite away... gud luck

Thanks for your information my frnd. That number is not working outside Canada.
Actually my friend the basic requirement I think is you have to live continuously for at least 1 year together before applying Common-law.

Which we did already. Then for immigration purpose I had to come back to India. So I dont have to explain lot more for the reason of my India visit.
Immigration knows it very well.
