Folks who have JUST got the AOR/Sponsorship Apporvals.. I suggest to take a chill pill for now.. I know lately PPRs have been coming in 14-20 days but nothing to worry if it takes a little longer.. PPR has nothing to do with the overall time ND takes to issue the visa.. I am sure it will come for all when its the right time.. Enquiry etc are not needed .. thats my thought..manorite said:What can we tell them in case specific inquiry? Do u know anyone who has done this?
Agree with Lalatata..dnt want to sound selfish as i got my PPR but i guess overall it is taking some time to get PPR.lalatata said:Folks who have JUST got the AOR/Sponsorship Apporvals.. Well there is no one in this world even CIC sure of anything! however, As from my experience, knowledge and insights on the CIC's processes, it does seem like the PPR has nothing to do with the issuance of the VISA, They will only issue the VISA when they are ready! and they cant issue the VISA till they have your Passport, and hence when they are ready they will get you to submit the Passport.. now they ask for it 4 months before and keep it till they are ready or they dont ask at all for 5 months/ 1 month could be anything till they are ready and ask to submit the Passport...O-Zone said:Lalatata,
Are you sure PPR has no bearing on the overall processing time at ND VO? If that's true, I would feel much better as I was thinking the actual countdown for Applicant processing starts after the PP reaches ND!

"This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2012/04/13"
I think this is the Acknowledgement of Receipt. This email included an application number, I guess this is the 'reference number' for sponsoring my wife.
I have been checking the ecas everyday now, and there is no update on it when I check it through Client ID/Receipt Number/Application Number. It's Thursday now, and I have not received sponsorship approval email yet.
Is ecase updated daily, or as the status change? Do they always send email for sponsorship approval, or maybe they send in snail mail sometimes?
