I Love this forum, very informative.

I just filed for my wife (I am Canadian citizen, She is in India (Hyderabad), for the spreadsheet here are my dates -

Sent Application to CIC-M on June 6th.
AOR - not yet received.

Hello Forum members,

I was looking for the forum of new delhi applicants under family class and got this one!! Its such an informative and lively forum!

btw, just to add that I got my PPR today. It took almost 1 month to issue PPR after my file was transferred to ND.

Below are my file stats:

Category........: FAM
Visa Office......: New Delhi
App. Filed.......: 27-02-2012
File X'r to ND...: 15-06-2012
Interview........: Waived
Passport Req..: 13-07-2012.

Request the moderator to include my info in the excel sheet.

Manorite, You will get it for sure... For some people including myself it took up to 6 weeks to get the PPR. I was into the 7th week when I actually got the email. The average I have seen is anywhere between 3-5 weeks. Looking at your timeline you will be onto your 4th week starting next Monday since your file got transferred. So, I am sure you will get it next week. Relax and enjoy the weekend

sent it on jun 15, received on june 16, nop it stll showing app received.

so it means they haven't looked at your file after they received the passport ??

in **most** cases they update ecas to "in process" when they start processing the file ... however ecas is not always updated properly ...

hopefully ur file is already in process and receive visa a.s.a.p

so glad to report that my hubby received an email for PPR today, It is dated on the top for July 10th...
Here,s what it said

We have received your application for permanent residence in Canada in the Family class on
03/21/2012 and have created a file with the file number indicated above.
Note: The application received date is in mm/dd/yyyy format. Please quote this file number in
all future correspondence with our office.
Canada has a carefully managed and controlled immigration program that is committed to
maintaining a balance of 60% economic immigrants and 40% non-economic immigrants (family
class, refugees, and those in need of protection). Amongst non-economic immigrants, priority is
given to spouses/partners and dependent children.
In order to expedite the processing of your application, we are requesting that you provide the
following as soon as possible:
• Payment of your Right of Permanent Resident Fee (landing fee) to our office in
Mississauga by your sponsor in Canada, if not already paid.
• Submission of police clearance certificates for time spent in any country for a period
of 6 months or more, if not already submitted.
• Submission of original passport along with any old expired passports for you and your
accompanying family members. The picture in the passport for a child under 6 years
of age must have been taken within the last 3 years. The picture in the passport for a
child between the ages of 7 and 18 must have been taken within the last 5 years.
Please note that a request for your passport(s) at this time is not a guarantee of visa
issuance. Passports are requested so that we can hold them on your file and issue your
visas as soon as possible after all requirements have been met.
