My husband's interview is next week. We know his medical and PCC has expired. Do you guys think he should do these again and take the new one with him???

Wait until interview day and follow what the interviewer has to say. Make sure you ask questions after..They will tell you what to do

I am Canadian and living in India and waiting for my spouse's PR.I received this today in email:

- PLEASE HAVE YOUR SPR SUBMIT EVIDENCE THAT HE WILL COMPLY WITH R130(2) IF AND WHEN VISA WILL BE ISSUED.

R 130 (2) of regulations state that

"A sponsor who is a Canadian Citizen and does not reside in Canada may sponsor an application referred to in subsection(1) by their spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner or dependent child who has no dependent children if the sponsor will reside in Canada when the applicant become a permanent resident"..

What should I submit for the above requested items...Please do let me know and thanks a lot

They want proof that you will go over to reside in Canada once your spouse attains the PR, so ideally you should show:
1) Job offer/letter from employer in Canada stating you will be joining on a particular date
2) Rental papers of home in Canada/mortgage papers
3) If you have a business, business agreement, letter from your business partners, business loan documents
4) If you plan to study, acceptance letter from college, university etc

Something along these lines that will give them firm evidence of your intention to settle in Canada once your spouse gets the PR.

Cover Letter, I just kept it simple - "I had come for the interview on xx/xx/xxxx and was informed that ________ and __________ had expired and needed to be resubmitted. Find enclosed a copy of the medical receipt and other docs as requested"

You should send the passport along with medical report as you don't want to unnecessarily wait.

Plus, once they receive it on file - processing for them will be a bit easier. What do the others think?

Well the process is not completed until we get visa. I wish i can fly with my re medical letter. it doesn't matter final stage or not final. what matters is the final outcome.

Just send your passport with remedical and police clearence with a cover letter... ;D

In my opinion you should not send PCC if not asked. I was only asked for re medical and i was also confused should i send PCC or no but when my GCMS notes arrived it says criminality was done before interview and it's valid until 2015 so no need of new PCC. i guess once you will send new PCC, they may go for new criminality check again which means more time .
