Really????
Online says for my case "We received your application for permanent residence on January 14, 2013."
On 18th Nov 2013 after such a long time I have got a request to submit RCMP. Can anyone suggest what should I expect and when??????????

Regards

Everyone from Jan-14 is still waiting to here back from CIC (bahadur being the exception)
Unless someone screwed up big time and messed up everyone's email that day, you should be fine.
Or at least I'm hoping so...........

I guess it is always a good idea to order GCMS notes and check what is going on in terms of criminality and eligibility. If you are in Canada, GCMS does not cost you a dime (under privacy act).

GCMS online request wbsite: atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do

Under criminality:
1) If you see a note that fingerprints are required - it is best to do so immediately rather than waiting for a request from CIC.
2) Do not wait until the very last moment for getting Police Certificates. If you can get them now, submit them immediately after you get the certificates. Do not wait until CIC asks for them (never assume that CIC may not ask you to submit). Always remember : The certificate must be issued no more than three months before you submit.

Under eligibility:
If you had previously submitted a partial reference letter (duties missing etc) and if you can get an updated one, submit it immediately ! Dont wait until you see a negative remark in the gcms notes. Also, if you get NOA / T4 later during the year, submit them once you get them. Based on most notes that we have seen in the forum, eligibility is determined mainly based on Reference Letter + T4 + NOA + Pay stubs.

All the best !

I also received similar RCMP request for my spouse on Nov18th and I am jan25th applicant. But in my case I had already submitted it earlier in October after looking at the gcms notes. Are you in a similar situation?? I am also freaked out on what does this mean. Let me know if you know anything.

Hi .... How do you know from the GCM notes tha RCMP finger prints are requesed.
I ordered mine, in that for me status says - No reportable Trace for my spouse satus blank.
In the last of the notes, for RCMP for both of us status new value says submitted.

Please advise.

TRACKER UPDATED

No reportable trace means fingerprint is not required.

For your wife - did you attach a consent form to receive her details? If didn't , they don't disclose her status.

Hi,

Regarding point under Eligibility, is that based on your own experience? Wanted to clarify since I have read that updated reference letters are not entertained.

I totally second that. I didn't receive ANY notification/request, but as soon as I submitted those 4 combos (updated reference letter, T4, NOA, pay stubs), I got RPRF, biodata, MR all at the same time after 4 business days.

Guys , I have been asking for some suggestion regarding my situation but no one has replied me .Does this mean this is a unique situation. My situation is that I got RCMP request for my wife on Nov 18th after almost 10 months into my processing time. But i had alreadysent them the RCMP criminal record check and confirmed that it is added to my file by checking the GCMS notes recently. Still i go this request. What does this mean? Is my application stalled or it is just automated response when they started processing my file.

I am really on the edge as I need to know if i would be a PR by end of December. Please help me.

I believe someone has already answered your question previously, saying contact CIC immediately to make sure it's been added to your file and to clarify your situation. Plus you would get more answers if you write a separate post since people who aren't necessarily looking at January post will be able to help you out.

I have already sent an email to CIC letting them know that the RCMP report is sent already and also mentioning that according to the GCMS it is added to the file. I also posted as a seperate thread. But i posted as i did as a last resort.

Thanks HY235
