I have already sent an email to CIC letting them know that the RCMP report is sent already and also mentioning that according to the GCMS it is added to the file. I also posted as a seperate thread. But i posted as i did as a last resort.

Thanks HY235

I guess you didn't hear back from them yet.
Yeah, I really don't understand how CIC works these days.
Hope you get your situation sorted out soon.

yes i did not hear back from CIC. In the request they had mentioned to disregard the request if i had already sent them the RCMP certificate. So am trying to be positive that it wont stall me from getting MR and also closure very soon.

Hey guys, listened to you all and just requested the GCMS notes..now the wait begins.... ;D

I have two questions regarding the request....:

1. In the question where they asked me ''location'', I wrote cpp-ottawa..is it correct?
2. I did not provide any attachments..is that alright?

1. yes, i just put ottawa.
2. no.

Please update my tracker to in process, now it says "We started processing your application on November 18, 2013" looks like it took me 3 days to update e-cas.

The reason why you got RCMP is because the officer requesting RCMP didn't bother to check the records if that is already done . Usually they maintain such items under notes at the end of gcms.

Example: note 1- RCMP received . See estorage.

Order gcms / wait for reply from Ottawa. Everything will be fine.

Hey Yamaha,

As long as you successfully submitted your request without attachment, you're good!

I submitted one today - it asked me for proof that I'm in Canada. I had to provide scanned copy of my driving license.

no2 : NO ?? that means I should have attached something? :'(

Need advice on something:

When I submitted updated application to include my wife after marriage, she was in home country. She later came to canada on visitor visa . I did inform cic through an email that she is in canada now. They didn't acknowledge that.

In gcms I don't see sub-activity RCMP screening for my spouse. Is this normal ? Criminality overall is set passed.

Should I inform again that she is in canada?

Hi,

If you did not attach a consent form for your wife along with your GCMS request then you will not be able to see the RCMP updates for your wife.

But there is usually a section under criminality for RCMP. In other sections, I can see my wife's info has been masked / hidden. RCMP screening section itself is not there based on what I see - else I would find some blank spaces for her RCMP screening.

Hello eds,

I can see the attachment of the RCMP record note as part of the Incoming section in my GCMS and also the note with the name of my spouse on it. That is why am freaked out that even though it is on file how can they miss it and request for it. I could be as you said the officer might not have bothered to look at the attachments in my file which is lame.

Hope they dont stall the processing as it is already 10 months today since i filed my application. Hopefully he makes note of this mistake after receiving the email from us and gives a go ahead. I am surprised am the first person to face this situation.

Hey ceeram,

I saw couple of other users in he same situation . Anyways, nothing to worry.

Folks,

Any advise on my wife's arrival in Canada ? Should I inform again ?

I guess it is always a good idea to order GCMS notes and check what is going on in terms of criminality and eligibility. If you are in Canada, GCMS does not cost you a dime (under privacy act).

GCMS online request wbsite: atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do

Under criminality:
1) If you see a note that fingerprints are required - it is best to do so immediately rather than waiting for a request from CIC.
2) Do not wait until the very last moment for getting Police Certificates. If you can get them now, submit them immediately after you get the certificates. Do not wait until CIC asks for them (never assume that CIC may not ask you to submit). Always remember : The certificate must be issued no more than three months before you submit.

Hi eds1275 and seniors,
I got my BioData and RPRF payment request. Its mentioned that Admissibility review (security,criminalityand/or medical) is still ongoing.
Does this mean my eligibility is confirmed?
Also I already got RCMP certificate last week, Should I send the original by post to CIC and send the scanned copy my mail? or Just hard copy by post will do?
I havent got the medical request yet. Anyone in similar situation?
Thanks

My application was also received on Jan 14 and haven't heard anything from CIC ??? ??? ???

No reportable trace means fingerprint is not required.

For your wife - did you attach a consent form to receive her details? If didn't , they don't disclose her status.

Hi Eds - Thansk for your quick reply on this. I'm not sure whther i did attach consent form or not.
But how do I get to know if she needs to do RCMP finger prints. Will I be geeting an e-mail asking fro that.
Thanks.
