Congrats Andy, did you still receive a request for medical, RFRP and bio data from CPP-O even though you provided upfront documentation? Thanks.

Anybody applied in Jan whose application was pre-assessed by Sydney office? I see this pre-assessment done for many march applicants.

Also, anybody received gcms recently have eligibility review complete?

Am I correct that because I have a lot of stamps in my passport my processing may be slowed due to background checks? I would have thought this would have been part of the security check and that this would be after I receive MR.

To properly answer this question we need to know, and compare, timelines.

If you received your AOR after those who already got MRs, then there is no evidence (at least for January applicants) that your travels made the processing longer. At least not yet. Compare your data with the spreadsheet attached to this forum's topic.

All the best.

I had asked cpp Ottawa status of my application - I got a reply that it is I queue for review. Their reply was sent at 1 AM !!! ???

Are they working crazy hours?

It's a standard response and probably on auto send due to the volume of messages they send out

It was not standard response. It had my file number in body and officers code in the signature.

Well that's not a bad thing that someone's working late there. Haha 8)

As per their response, my file is still in queue for review by an officer. Still in queue ???

Our application should already be in process by now.

One thing to note - all replies from cpp Ottawa has officer code NN05116 in the signature. Anyone else has noticed this? Is she/he my visa officer?

I did not get any MR. I had also paid the RPRF upfront so got the PPR directly. The status on ECAS read - 'Application Recd on XX. Started processing your application on XX. Medicals have been received. Decision has been made'.

Congrats Andy.

Can you advise how you got the PPR directly? I know you did upfront medical but that information has to be updated in the file so that immigration officer can take a a look.

I did my upfront medical but had hard time to convince my lawyer to send the proof and she did not and as a result I got medical request (for my FSW2 case).I am still waiting to hear from Ottawa on that.

Do you advise that I should get my lawyer send the proof of medical done on CEC application? I filed my CEC on 14th Jan.

That's ridiculous. Time and again, I have highlighted this. Anyone who does upfront medicals needs to insist on an acknowledgement from the physician and this needs to be submitted to CIC to evidence that you have undergone upfront medicals.

Hi Andy , firstly congrats to you , its been long time havent heard from you , i had actually even posted asking abt you , can u share ur timeline for ppr , also i see there was some updated employer reference letter that u had sent , can u describe what was the exact issue , and how u resolved it ?

you can have a look at my timelines in the Jan 2013 spreadsheet. Initially with the application, I submitted employer letter which did not have duties & respon. After getting the AOR, I submitted a new reference letter with duties & respon. And that's it.

Thanks Andy , and congrats once again

Thank you for all your good wishes Folks.
I would definitely say 'patience is the key'. Rather than worrying un-necessarily, I strongly opine that one should spend time in productively preparing oneself for the Canadian market - scan the job market, take up value added courses or engage in some knowledge acquiring activities. There is nothing much one can do, apart from upfront medicals & RPRF payment to fasten the processing of application.

Congrats buddy! And good advice... One questions though. I know you did upfront meds and RPRF, but did you get a request for biodata from CIC? Curious if they skipped this step since you did everything upfront. Thanks!
