I checked with cic. Both work permits are valid. One can have more than 1 work permit (but per employer).

I hope I get or soon / get extension on my bowp

The BOWP cancels your previous work permit, so you don't have both.

If your application isn't processed in time for whatever reason, you can apply for BOWP again.

Hi Eds1275,

If you have until march, 2014 for your permit to expire, you need to apply in December for BOWP extension.

Based on my observation from last couple of weeks,

Visa officer sets eligibility recommended passed. Queues application for medical request. Medical request is sent in batches. This may be the reason we see bulk MR in the forum. Also may be the reason why mr comes from an automated ID.

Application is then forwarded to higher officer for approval. After approval, email is sent from Ottpilot email to applicants ID for bio data and rprf.

In some cases, MR is received befor rprf and bio data and sometimes later because of batch schedule for MR email.

So far this week, no new MRs yet. I really hope to see few MR tomorrow.

Thanks Eds. I have heard that ordering GCMS notes slows down the process of application a bit. Is that true?

Sad news

Got an email today saying my application is rejected

Reason is my English test where listening and speaking scored a 7 and 9, my reading n writing scored below 6.

I always have been told I am dyslexic (can't read for the life of me), but never gotten tested

What are my options? I feel so upset I am freaking English! This is the only language I know...how can I be rejected because I don't read and write as well as they want me to?!

Should I respond to the case officer? I get if my reading and writing is high but can't speak or listen well then maybe I can't communicate...but I communicate just fine.

Thanks

No
Your file is stored on a database so someon accesses and prints it

Why did you submit your application if your IELTS was below benchmark for your noc? To be honest if you wanted to go down the dyslexic route, you should have done so at time of application.
I can only think that you need to retake IELTS and resubmit your application. I'm sorry you've lost 9+ months

Honest to god it's a mis interpretation of the requirement. Definitely would not have gone through this if I had fully known.

Thanks

Try to send email and explain your case. I know the chances are zero and you may have to retake your IELTS...but it's worth trying...nothing to loose. Also you may want to consult a lawyer now...

So sorry to hear that.

It is weird. Your application should have returned before giving you an AOR then. In that case, you would not have wasted 9 months.

Did you also say that you got also PRRF and biodata request a few days ago?

Hi wchlin81,

did you actually get RPRF request in email? The email usually has words like "processing of your application is almost complete".
