No...it still shows "Application Received"

I believe you're the first 2013 applicant with the "app received" status to receive MR.

I believe that noc and marital status has some implication on processing time.

Again, I might be wrong. I sent my application on 6th jan and marital status in my application is single (I just got married this month). Ill see if I get any updates from cic.

Reg gcms- yes, cic logs every communication that you had with them :) even the simple enquiry emails such as "what is the status of my application ?".

All the best everyone !

Application received:4th Jan,2013
AOR : 15th Feb'13
NOC:2171

congrats!!
will add you to the spreadsheet :)

Andy should directly get biodata and PP request as he has already completed his medicals :)

Nah! From what I understand, even if you complete medicals in advance, CIC system will still trigger the MR.
Congrats rajuindia.

Guys,

Anybody got mr today ? :)

Are these guys calling employers to verify the employment? If yes, what type of question should employers expect? Is the visa officer needs detailed info on the employment over the phone like tell me each n every job duty he performs?

Please do not answer its upto officer, I am asking how the average verification works

and I am also on the same Jan ship, so please do not ask me to pop out. :) :) :)

Can you share your timelines and noc?

Andy can add you to the tracker .

What's with the attitude?
You expect a certain kind of answer - but the truth really is that it's down to the officer. I have not yet seen someone have their employer called but that's not to say it doesn't happen. If you've sent all the correct supporting documents they might be less likely to double check but you never know.....

Don't ask a question and automatically tell people not to give you an answer just because its not what you want to hear.

In most cases, employment phone verification is not required however in some instances, it is. What they ask really does depend on the officer and the individual application. They will likely request validation of everything contained in the letter and sometimes more.
