Thanks for confirming waiting84! A lot of theories going around as to why....kinda have a feeling you might have been chosen as a test/pilot candidate to see whether and how CIO would process eligibility. My assumption is that they are trying to centralize certain processing stages and sort of makes sense to complete the eligibility stage out of CIO, as the first contact.

Anyways, congrats again!!

You are maybe right. May be it is because where I live. I know most of the applicants are from Toronto area and I am not.

I know few applicant already have done upfront medicals. They might get PPR or RPRF in near future. I strongly recommend all to get your GCMS notes. It is only $5 and worth it.

I have booked an appointment for medical exam on next Monday. Let's see how things goes from there.

Oh I'm sure there's a reason! I was just trying to see if maybe submitting all documents had something to do with it. My thinking was.... ie my application is not moving cuz they are still waiting on NOA. But since you said that you had sent things after, that theory is kinda out the door there.

Hm? Intriguing...
I didn't submit my PCC with the application. I sent it after I received my AOR.

Do you guys maybe know...if I order GCMS notes and they generate it for that certain point or 30 days later (or whatever)...could I order them again later and would that like piss them off or anything? You know, in case its held up and I wanna see details again.

Yes you can. System is made to make sure you don't piss them off. That is,, even they generate your notes next day, they hold it for month before releasing it.

congrats waiting 84....are you from alberta?

How do i order gcms? Any link? Thanks!

You could google CEC ATIP request or just click on the link below... :P

Also, if you are in Canada and applying for GCMS notes for yourself, you can apply under the Privacy Act instead of the Access to Information Act. Under the Privacy Act, the information is free and you will not have to pay $5. If you are outside of Canada, and you want someone within Canada to request the information, use the Access to Information Act. You will then pay $5.

I don't get this... Privacy Act is free to apply under.. Is there any difference between Right to Information Act and Privacy Act?

I guess in the information act they must be giving info about spouse and everyone whereas in privacy they don't.. can't think of anything else...

Just my understanding, but privacy act is to request info for yourself. You can add a consent form for dependents. Right to information is to get info about someone else. So if you are outside Canada, you will need someone else to get the info and they can't do it under the privacy act since it is someone else's info. Again, just my understanding.

I have joined this site yesterday and am struggling a bit.
I also have applied in January this year. I tried to somehow add my info on the spreadsheet and failed.
I was never one to excel in technology and maybe that is why I seem to be all over the place.
I also have been trying to figure out the position of the members (star member, full member, hero member, etc)
I am guessing it depends on how active you are on the site.
How do I display the timeline of my own journey as some of the members do? (The one showing below their names)

Now I'm a bit confused as well! So, if I ordered under the Information Act as an individual, will I still get the details or do I also need to submit a request through the Privacy Act?

I got Biodata and RPRF request.
And thanks for all wishes. I sincerely hope everyone will get theirs soon
