Hello,

It would be grateful, if somebody please help me to sort this out. I am new to this forum.

I have received my PER mail on 2nd Feb and waiting for my MR. Just few days back I was blessed with a baby. My doubts are below;

1)What are the procedures for adding my baby in to my application?
2)Me and wife has not endorsed spouse name in our passport. For applying my child passport, parent’s passport should be endorsed with spouse name. So if we add this now, will that be a problem? Because, we have given the passport copy without spouse name endorsed while applying.
3)Is there any change in showing fund, when we include our child?

use case specific enquiry and ask about the documents that are required.
2)Me and wife has not endorsed spouse name in our passport. For applying my child passport, parent's passport should be endorsed with spouse name. So if we add this now, will that be a problem? Because, we have given the passport copy without spouse name endorsed while applying.
the passport details will be changed so you need to submit the new passport copies

3)Is there any change in showing fund, when we include our child?
yes. include your proof of funds to include third person that matches the cic requrements

Anybody who added a newborn after submitting application please share the process.

You are to submit to this office (Canadian High Commission, XXXXX) a newly completed IMM8 (The Generic Application form for Canada) for yourself and Additional Family Information forms for you and your spouse along with the following documents for your child born recently:

Copy of the original birth certificate
An official English translation of the birth certificate (if applicable)
Processing fee of C$ 150
Copy of a valid passport bio page
Two photographs

Please refer to our website http://www.cic.gc.ca for information regarding fee payments.

Hello everyone

I will be obliged if some one could update me about following query

I My recieved my ppr request on 15 june , as my wife was 28 weeks pregnant i informed visa office about it as instructed and informed them that i wish to travel only after the delivery to avoid any complications in her health.

Kindly clarify should i send my passports to visa office now or after the delivery of child

Hi PJS,

After you submitted your passports, VO will keep your passports for 1 month to stick the visa. When you got your visa, validity is 1 year from your medical date. If you want to travel, only you and your wife can go except new born baby (because in your application your new born baby is not include).

If you want to add in new born baby to your application, you need to write to VO urgently because PPR need to within 30 days. Then send Update IMM0008, IMM 5406 for you and your wife, CAD 150 for new born baby (after pay online print out receipt and send together), baby passport BIO page photocopy , 6 photos, and birth certificate. Then you will received Medical for baby and after baby medical completed, you can submit your family members passport together to VO to get the visa. Hope this help.

Regards,
Myat

Hi myat !

Thanx for the update , I have informed the visa office as instructed about the pregnancy of my wife

the reply i got was:-

Dear Applicant,
If you intend to travel to Canada after your child is born, you shouldn’t collect your visas. They will be cancelled. After your child is born, will have to be added to your application and meet some immigration requirements.

Does that mean that we do not need to send our passports to VO - New Delhi as there is no clarification about whether we should courier our passports.
Thank you very much for the time and consideration that you will give to this query ...
