hello guys.
I want to apply for a long term tourism VISA for my mom and myself.
The background is this: I was rejected once in 2012 when I submitted a business VISA application without a letter of invitation from a Canadian company, instead I attached an explaination letter saying I was about to visit my girldfriend who was back then in Toronto. The reason why I tried Business VISA is this: In two weeks, I was about to travel to US for a meeting and my company allowed me to travel to Toronto to visit my girlfriend and would pay for the airfare. The awkward thing was, I didn't have enough time for a Tourism VISA (which takes more than 3 weeks as I heard). So I followed the suggestion from a staff at CIA Shanghai office to try a Business VISA (which is faster). But the result was an epic fail.......reason was "no proper intention" (or other words with similar meaning).
I have to admit that I wasn't taking that VISA issue seriously. I was naively assuming that it should be very easy to acquire a Canadian VISA since I studied in Toronto from 2006 to the end of 2011 (and I had a very clean history of traveling to Austrilia, USA, Italy and Swiss).
Now, I have to face this VISA torture again 0.0 .......Because my girlfriend (we are getting married in a month, please don't congratulate, it's a marathon and a nightmare) has decided to return Canada in January 2016 before expiration of her PR card (mid of 2017).
I'm working in Chad for a Chinese national petroleum company. My standard shift is 3 month working for 1 month vacation (the officer will clearly identify this from my passport). I need a long term VISA so that I can live in Toronto during my vacation. And if we have a baby soon, we need my mother to take care of the baby in Toronto until the baby is old enough to travel to China.
documents:
1. our marriage certificate will be available
2. my 3 years payroll bank statement available (each year after tax less than 50k canadian dollars)
3. no real estate or other kinds of asset under my name
4. any documents from my company shall be available upon my request
Can anyone please give me some advice if i should:
1: write a explaination letter about my real situation, or
2: just apply the tourism VISA as my mother and I are just common tourists?
and if I should tell the truth, what kind of documents should I prepare to prove? such as the marriage certificate with my girlfriend, my degree certificate at University of Toronto, other proof of our relationship, a company's letter stating my rotation and salary, etc.
One more thing, my previous passport was lost (robbed with all of my luggages) when I travelled to San Francisco in 2012. My current passport only has a expired 3 years business Schengen VISA, and countless Chadian Work VISAs.
Sorry for my poor writing.
