Hello,

I'm a Pakistani Citizen and my wife is a Canadian citizen. We did religious(Islamic) marriage in November 2014 in UK but didn't register it in UK because my wife wasn't a resident of UK. Then we came to Pakistan in May 2015 and tried to get our marriage registered here. The marriage registrar said to register your marriage in Pakistan you have to do religious(Islamic) marriage again in Pakistan. Now the thing is our marriage ceremonies were held in UK even before registering our marriage in Pakistan and the UK houses can be clearly seen in the the background of the ceremony photos. What should I do now?

anyone can help?

Simple....explain under the "development of relationship" section like you have done here. The date you legally registered the marriage in Pakistan should be the date you use on the application.

Your UK ceremony was not a legally recognized marriage. You can explain that you had that ceremony but for the marriage date, you need to use the legally recognized ceremony in Pakistan.

wouldn't they ask why you did islamic marriage twice in 2 different countries and why you did marriage ceremony even before the legal date of your marriage.

No. Just explain that you had a religious ceremony in the UK and then the legal ceremony later in Pakistan.
