need information for confused live in caregiver

I work as a live in caregiver in BC.. I came to Canada 25.06.2011. with the employers I had a visa and work permit to 31.08.2013.
In my passport, a visa is valid date 26.05.2011 (when issued) until 31.08.2013.
but I'm on 21.07.2011. changed employer because he did not behave according to the rules and almost have to say that I get kick out of the house.
Then I moved into the house of another employer where we start immediately for a new procedure for work permit that would not come until 14.02.2012 and on paper it says that is valid until 14.02,2014.
Now what do I do for the period of 31.08.2013 to 14.02.2014. Do I have to go to the Canadian Embassy in the country I come from Serbia or here to apply for the new period or something?

I know that I have the time, but that's better to ask the time, and when it is best to start this new thing in passport, in a month or two before this date 31.08.2013 in passport?
And after this program I am eligible for the procedure permanent residence, that information is on my new work permit that I got last February, so would like to know when and to go to the procedure and what is already going ?
So twice in short time I have to stand paperwork for this first period of a few months at the end of August 2013 to mid-February 2014, and then for start for pr procedure.

I need your advice for both of this.
What to do,who to call and where to get more information.

I was call and sent emails to Canadian embassy in my country in last month but nobody answer .

The new work permit cancels the old one, so it's no longer valid, including the date. You're fine to stay until the date on your new work permit.

Good for you for getting away from an abusive employer!

If the first employer paid you for 1 month worked and remited the taxes to the gov't (provided that she gave you a T4) you can apply PR on 15 Jan 2014, but if not, you can apply on 15 Feb 2014. Make sure at least 3 months before your work permit expire you have to renew it. It takes 2 to 3 years to process your PR and 6 to 12 months for Open workpermit. :D

Thank you for all this information.
so i dont need to worry with that different dates in passport and both papers first work permit and second one...Nice...I like this :D

Ohhhh...2-3 years for PR  ?and then 6 to 12 months for OWP!!!!!!

I didnt know that.
I am not to much with live in caregiver news and community :-[ ...but this is little shock...

So i need to work with this employer at least more 2 years with renewal work permit while i waiting for PR and then after that OWP or i can start process in same time for PR and OWP I am now total confused.
But with this employer i work until February 14,2014 (My employers were hoping to keep this date in my passport to 31.08.2013 and they and i hope that we will get to that date, but the new CIC work permit issued by 14.02.2014.in new paper)...but they dont really need me after September 2013,because all kids start full time school..they kindly to i work with them until 14.02.2014 and not from that date onwards .. because they really did not need me after September, but at least they want to help me and to i finish the contract with them .

What do, again look for new employers and again new procedures for work permit while waiting for PR and OWP , honestly I have no idea how things work in this?

You need to work at least 24 months or 3900 hours, as a live in caregiver (cumulative, add all months, hours for all employers) before you qualify to apply for PR under LCP. You can stay in Canada for the duration of your WP which I think is till Feb 2014. Don't be confused with your TRV (visa on your passport). If you exited Canada (other than the US) you need a valid visa and WP to re-enter Canada. Else you don't need an updated visa if you don't intend to leave Canada anytime soon. Your's is still valid anyway till August 2013.

You would have worked 24 months (or more if you add you months of service with your first employer) by Feb 2014 since you started Feb 2012 with your current employer. Then you're qualified to apply for permanent residency. Processing time for PR under LCP is currently 32 months (on the average). The trend for the OWP is currently 3 months after the application package is received at CPC-Vegreville.

And what if it comes OWP before the PR as you say, then what, so I can look anywhere else a job in another industry, and while waiting for PR?
means, then I can leave the family and go to the rent somewhere?

And what you mean i still valid until August 2013,i still need to renew in passport my visa, after this date in passport?
But i already have plan to dont leave Canada or to go anywhere else until i finish all paperwork with PR in next 2-3 years like you said is procedure length...

Thank you so much for all information ;) ;),like you can see ,because everyone I've asked here answer me different somehow, and i am now total confused and i honestly does not understand that what i need to do,when and what is all procedure?

means, then I can leave the family and go to the rent somewhere? Yes, you can leave the family you're with now and rent somewhere else.

And what you mean i still valid until August 2013,i still need to renew in passport my visa, after this date in passport? If you intend to leave Canada and return after this date you have to renew your TRV.

Your choice, your decision if you don't intend to renew your TRV or don't intend to leave Canada till you're a permanent resident.

i am also a live in caregiver here in toronto and as a new resident in this land, i am very much confused on the procedures to be done........
i am new in this forum, and i thank God that i found this column as my past time.....
as in my case, i am only staying here for about a year ..... (still have to tackle 12 more months)..... believe it or not, i do not go out even on my day off....i just stayed home and serve my employer, without charging them any overtime.......the reason why is that i do not know anybody here since we transferred from our other home to this building apartment.......i dont go out coz i am afraid going out alone since i do not know the whereabout of the place...... thats why i cannot ask anybody about some informations regarding the procedures on how to process....i only have this site as my reference.......i cannot ask my employer about this certain topic because everytime i asked them they always changed the topic..... (its still long months to go but i want to gather some info for sure that i am going in the right path)
my visa is about to end on january 8, 2014 , and my work permit is due on February 25, 2014 .... and as i learned from job_seeker, i have to secure for a new visa if its already expired when leaving canada and planning to come back....so in my case i have to do so since i am planning to have my vacation while waiting for the OWP.

my questions are.....
`1.) will i still apply for a new work permit?..... i plan to continue working with my employer while i am still waiting for my OWP, (lucky me coz my employer said yes i can stay with them)
2.) could it be possible to have my vacation even if i do not received my OWP yet? ..i have my 6 mo. old baby in my country, and i miss him so much. I read in the other articles that it takes about 3 to 6 months of wait before the approval of OWP , thats why i plan to go home even for a few weeks, while waiting for the OWP.

another question i want to know ...prior to the submission of the application of PR and OWP, is that......what form will i submit to CIC if i include my family in applying for the PR..... The application for inside canada? or The application from outside canada?....
its really very early to ask at this time but i want to prepare it early so that there will be no cramming when the time comes.
Please help me with regards to my innocence...... thanks in advance.

for the curiosity of those who will read my previous post..........and in addition to what i previously posted.....
i can go out only if my employer asked me to go with them if they will go somewhere and if they ask me to buy something at the grocery since the grocery is a block away from where we leave.

I think you need to contact CIC. That's an extremely abusive situation.

Google your whereabouts and see how to travel in your area. Once out, you can connect with your countrymen. Go to the mall or parks just to connect and develop friends. What province are you in?

You have to maintain status and if you're going to leave for a vacation while waiting for your OWP without a valid WP you might not be allowed back into Canada. Two things you need for re-entry- valid WP in your possession and valid TRV. Some POE officers ask for proof of current employment which in your case would be a letter from your employer.

another question i want to know ...prior to the submission of the application of PR and OWP, is that......what form will i submit to CIC if i include my family in applying for the PR..... The application for inside canada? or The application from outside canada?.... Here's the link for application for PR under the livein caregiver program:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/live-in.asp

Please help me with regards to my innocence...... thanks in advance.

@job_seeker...again thank you for your reply........
@ amikety...thanks for your concern but i,ve already been in this situation for about a year and one more year is just a waiting for me just to ensure that i can bring my family here so that we will be together again...... as long that my employer doesnt hurt me then its ok with me.....

what i am trying to know more is that do i need to submit another form of application of permanent residence for my dependent? or just the application of mine alone......it says in the guide (#4) which from the link that you gave is that "Identity and relationship documents (for each person included in the application)....

i am really confused because i heard that my family still need an application form that will be sent to me then i am the one who will submit to the CIC together with my application..... how true?
and others said that they dont need a form to fill up but only me......how true?

if i am the one who will fill up the form then what form do i need? i do not know where to go ...if i will need the applying inside canada or the applying from outside canada family sponsorship (sponsor your family)
outside canada because they will fill it up there in my country and send it to me or inside canada because i am the one who is here.

pls.....again i am very sorry for my innocence regarding this mater.....i just really want to know what is the correct guide to use.....thanks again in advance.
