PR app for caregivers is two-fold - one for you and they will be asked to fill up their kit later. There is a thread that deals with the dependents of caregivers.

@ job_seeker...again thank you for your reply........
@ amikety...thanks for your concern but i,ve already been in this situation for about a year and one more year is just a waiting for me just to ensure that i can bring my family here so that we will be together again...... as long that my employer doesnt hurt me then its ok with me.....

what i am trying to know more is that do i need to submit another form of application of permanent residence for my dependent? or just the application of mine alone......it says in the guide (#4) which from the link that you gave is that "Identity and relationship documents (for each person included in the application)....

i am really confused because i heard that my family still need an application form that will be sent to me then i am the one who will submit to the CIC together with my application..... how true?
and others said that they dont need a form to fill up but only me......how true?

if i am the one who will fill up the form then what form do i need? i do not know where to go ...if i will need the applying inside canada or the applying from outside canada family sponsorship (sponsor your family) The link I initially included with my response deals with you. The forms that your dependent/s will fill up will be sent to them at a later date.
outside canada because they will fill it up there in my country and send it to me or inside canada because i am the one who is here.

pls.....again i am very sorry for my innocence regarding this mater.....i just really want to know what is the correct guide to use.....thanks again in advance.

That's when you least expect it, something will happen and change the whole course of your plans.
I just thought of autumn at the latest in early 2014th I start on the procedure for permanent residency here in Canada and to slowly go about my normal job here and some other things like this when all changed.
Specifically my present employer yesterday afternoon said that they do not need me anymore from the mid / end of June 2013 as children start school full time in September and during summer they will go in camp.
So it should slowly go to look for work somewhere else.
Now I have a mean of 24 January to mid-June 2013 to find a similar job, and go back to the procedure as before with the paperwork because they've been left with just 6-7 months of work on this program that the presented documents for permanent residence here in Canada.
But that is the plan I would have accomplished by the end of this year, but now I have still remain from 6-7 months to end this program..
but few employers will dare in such a short period that is rarely taken, but everyone took at least a year and a half to 2 to get someone to work for them.
No longer could I do this job for at least another 2 years. Maybe just a year because I really need my freedom of movement and to finally go to create something mine here. Bored more to change other people's homes and to be a in the other houses, and other people's children's nanny.

So what are my steps in this situation and what are my employers? What is paperwork and where to look for jobs, what websites, because i came in Canada in June 2011,without agency and i came in first family from recomendation. And that was disaster.
This second is ok family and now i need to look for third :(.

And yes my SIN expire on august 30,2013,how to renew that?

I need all suggestion when to start to look for jobs and how long will be procedure. i ask this because when i found this second family ,we start paperwork for new work permit in start of August 2011 and new work permit come in 14.02.2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think a lot of families hear about the benefits of a live-in caregiver and want it, but in reality, can't afford it - because they can't change their spending habits. Also, a wage increase went into effect for LCP - a whole 50 cents, but people are whining and complaining until the cows come home!

Hopefully you will find a good family that treats you well.

After you get your paperwork from that last family, I encourage you to report their abuse to the government. It will make it harder for them to get another nanny in the future.

To report first family from 2011?
What to tell them i work there only from 25.06.-14.07.2011!!!
I know that they after me don't have nobody. Mother lost her job after i left house.
What can I say that I worked in and around the house jobs these days everything like housekeeper like garden everything,in house cleaning maid, that they were told me that working day immediately after the evening said that tomorrow morning I have two job interviews that they chose for me, and that they know that for almost 7 days in advance and waiting to last second to tell me?
They told me that I few days to find a family because I do not want the house anymore.

And how long is paperwork between now and new employer?
Because when i found this second family ,we start paperwork for new work permit in start of August 2011 and new work permit come in 14.02.2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is that normal?

And in February 2013 that will i work year for 2nd employer and so i need one year or so with next 3rd to complete this program .
And I am in Canada from 25.06.2011.
I know that does not count the period of waiting for a new work permit.

And my SIN will be expire in end of August 2013? How to renew that?

Good Day!

I just wanna to ask something I hope you could help me with this, I'm a care giver here in ontario canada I just arrived here last August 2012 and I'm planning to go back home(phil) to have a vacation and to get married. But I have a lot of concern regarding this,;

1st Is it ok to have a vacation for atleast one and half month?
2nd Is there any requirements do I need to bring back home? (my visa and working permit is valid for two years)
3rd do I need to pay my tax here even if I'm on vacation?
4th after getting married what are other things to do except for changing my status/surname on my passport n visa?

I really hope you could help me with this.

Thank you and God Bless!!!

1st Is it ok to have a vacation for atleast one and half month? If your employer is letting you go on leave, then why not. Get a letter from them stating you're going on leave for such and such a date, and is going to work for them when you come back.
2nd Is there any requirements do I need to bring back home? (my visa and working permit is valid for two years) Letter from employer
3rd do I need to pay my tax here even if I'm on vacation? Yes
4th after getting married what are other things to do except for changing my status/surname on my passport n visa? Just an advice, change your passport when you're back in Canada.

I really hope you could help me with this.

Thank you and God Bless!!!

Thank's job_seeker for answering my questions.

I know it would be better if I change or renew my passport here when I go back, but according to cic website under FAQ that I need to inform canadian embassy about it (getting married) and renew my passport asap and need to get a new visa issued in my married surname.

Or should I inform the canadian embassy that I'm married when I go back here?

Actually my main purpose here is that I can include my soon to be husband as my dependant on my application on pr.

Thank you hope you still have time to answer my query,, :)

You would still be informing CIC. But better do so when you're back in Canada. You would in effect apply for a new passport at the consulate with a copy of your Marriage Certificate which I'm pretty sure would not be ready by the time you come back to Canada.

Hi Job_Seeker!

I have some questions for you...hope that you'll be able to enlighten me. I believe these questions of mine have been asked before, but here goes:

Scenario: I am currently working here in Dubai. I have been to the U.S. and Canada once (both on single entry visas). I am planning to apply for a tourist visa (both Canada and US). I read somewhere that approval is faster when application is lodged while in Canada..but through the visa office outside of Canada (i.e. Seattle, L.A.).

Q1: Can I still lodge my application as a live-in caregiver in Seattle visa office while on a tourist visa in Canada?
Q2: Do I need to undergo medical and include the result in my application...or this is something the embassy would require after they received my application?
Q3: If medical is needed in my application, how do I go about it? Can I have my medical here in Dubai even without the request from the visa office?
Q4: Would you have an idea how long the application and approval process is..based on the experiences of people you know or you have encountered here.

I plan to stay in Canada for 2 to 3 weeks only.

Thank you in advance!

Mabuhay ka!

1) Seattle is closed. You'll need to use New York. You have to be legally admitted to the US to use New York. (I. E., be able to attend an interview if required.)

2) Medicals are required for all care giver jobs. You need to include with application. If you don't, you risk having your application returned or delayed.

3) You'll need to find a designated medical doctor and do the exam. Follow the instructions here to find one: http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medical.aspx

4) It will depend on if the employer already has the LMO, which province the employer is in if they need to apply for the LMO, and which visa office you use to get your work permit.

Note: Because you require a medical, you cannot flagpole to get the work permit (someone may try to tell you differently, but it's not allowed for any job requiring a medical).
