My sister wants to apply for trv for Canada. she just started working as a Jr doctor for last two yrs.
As per document checklist, she needs to show tax return of last yrs which she doesn't have. She has enough bank balance of more than $10,000. She applied for tax return and it's in process.
I have a house with two bedrooms and we are only two family member Canada. If I sponsor her, How much I have to show bank balance to the visa officer that I have enough bank balance. If I sponsor her then it looks awkward, becoz she is working as a doctor but getting a sponsor from me

Please advice me. what is better to do ? Shall I sponsor her or not ?

Short answer: You cannot sponsor a visitor/your sister for a TRV.

You can only host her/invite her..... and, your invitation letter can offer to provide accommodation, take care of her local travel and expenses, etc.

As a visitor, your sister must prove she has the financial resources to afford the visit + airfare

As far as I know, tax returns are optional (correct me if I'm wrong, or if it's a country to country basis), and bank statements and certificates are preferred. Other possible proof would be pay slips and her employment contract. I don't think they care that she's not up to date with her taxes; they care that she's getting income, period.

You can still show your finances, but these would be supplementary documents to her own as the applicant.
