ND Work Permit Processing Time since February 2012?

If we get the medical request can we consider it as almost done. I mean if no issues with our medicals CIC will issue the WP.
Any known isntances where Visa was rejected after medicals ?
I applied on 7-Feb and got medicals done on 16-Feb. After that no news

In our small world of forum, there have been 4 cases of rejection.. Barring one case of Pippin's friend the other 3 were not asked for medical test. We can be optimistic and say that chances of rejection are low once medical request is done, but the ultimate decision is with the embassy..

I applied for my wife via VFS Chennai on the 3rd December. I never heard back, however, when my wife sent an email to Delhi, we got a reply saying that "Please be advised that further instructions were sent to you on January 29, 2013 through the VFS Visa Application Centre where you submitted your application. If you have not yet collected the instructions from VFS, please do so as soon as possible. "

What does this mean? Has anybody got something similar to this?

Kinda annoying when VFS doesnt communicate this to you. It has been over a month with the instructions sitting there at VFS. Let me know.

I have applied spousal open work permit for my wife on Feb 17th online..

Canadian visa in Singapore

My concern is that, I already submitted my application to the Canadian Embassy last Feb 20, and until now I still haven't got any response. I'm currently working here in Singapore.
How long do i still need to wait? And what are the reasons why its taking too long?

Did you apply via VFS? if yes, you will get a msg from them about receipt of application at High commission.

If you couriered your application to new delhi, you will not get an acknowledgement.. they will respond if you meet the following criteria..

Highly irresponsible on VFS's part.. Did you collect the instructions? They may be requiring more documents. Or if you have already submited medicals, some more reports regarding medical test..

Thanks Nikoli...I have to wait until Monday to go and collect the instructions. VFS is totally irresponsible. Will it be rejection? if its medical request she should have got it via email right? I dont know what it is going to be....She didnt get her medical request yet...Has anybody got a request for medicals through VFS?

Did you check the status of ur application under https://www.visaservices.in/Canada-India-Tracking/TrackingParam.aspx
Ideally all communications should be updated here.
Havent heard of anyone getting Medicals thru VFS.
