I scheduled for medical exam on 9 July. Received medical Request 7 June. The note says medical has to be done within 30days. Is delaying Medical by one week from due date a problem? Any suggestions?

ask for extension via Nairobi office email, they will grant 30 additional days.

They wrote back this:
If you have been requested to submit your passport, you are required to send your passport(s) via courier as you will not be allowed to hand it over by hand at the vfs.

You can visit any courier company of your choice to deliver in our office.

So does that mean I can use DHL etc?
Yes, DHL is a courier

I don’t know why Nairobi is taking so much longer than other VO. It’s kinda frustrating when you look at the spreadsheet for March 2021 almost everybody got medicals and the ones who applied January and February and even some December from Nairobi didn’t yet

We applied in 2019 and it appears that medicals are the last thing done at the Nairobi office. We were six month waiting for the request but then had our decision made and copr within 45 days after that.

If you look at old spreadsheets…this is exactly how NVO works. It’s a pattern. They either send u MR right after Aor2 and then it’s a wait after that or MR after3 months from AOR2 then things go fast from there.

It all ends up being same processing time 7-8 months from when applied unless a case is complicated and they ask for more information.

My friend who applied in 2018 got medical request and PPR at the same time. So, yeah they tend to request medical towards the end.

At least family sponsorship is moving, we skilled work applicants are stuck for more than a year now.

All non-essential workers are not being processed. They will likely kick that in again this September (or whenever borders are reopened fully for international travel)

We just got asked for PCC today. In the letter we got it says they don’t accept applications and supporting documents sent via currier and states to send PDF file. Any idea?
