It has been a long time since I have checked in but, my husband received his passport request recently. It took us nearly 24 months so, I won't bother posting a timeline but, I hope that nobody else goes through the long wait that we had, and to keep your hopes up no matter what.

Was he a Kenyan national, and did they ask for the medical near the end of you application process?

Thanks.

You're looking at about 6 months from when processing begun (that is optimistic). After the medical, you could also be waiting another 6 months. So keep your expectations realistic.

Looking for advice on what I can do to hasten my PR process. I begun my journey in 2019 doing WES and ietls and finally submitted my application in March 2020. I have not had any ADRs except for a remedical request which was passed in April 2022 and have not received any update since.

I requested GCMS notes in March of this year which showed that everything is passed, except for security which at that time reflected as not started.

The long wait is taking a toll on my patience and mental health. I have tried sending a number of webforms to get clarification on the cause of the delay but have not received any response. What other avenues ( phone number/ emails) can I use to get in touch with IRCC? My COR is Kenya and primary visa office is Nairobi.

Dear,
Unfortunately, well to my club! It seems I am in the same stage as you (with same PR stream, mine FSW-O). My AOR is Sep 2019. Last GCMS I ordered was mid last year and that time only security was pending with status as “Not Started” as well as expired medical. I got remedical request and apologetic email (+ saying only pending item on me is medical and they will process my application after passing the remedical exam) from Nairobi VO on 27th January 2022. I passed remedical on 25th March but still waiting update or any response to my follow up emails and webform from the VO. Sadly, nothing from them.

I don’t know what’s wrong with them and why they are so freaking slow! I’ll send you a private message with a Whatsapp group link for East Africa PR federal skill applicants, please join.

Thanks so much for the response. we are truly in the same boat though yours has taken way longer. I wish there was a way to contact the visa office directly.

With this in mind, I knew I can overcome every step and hurdle as long as I am patient and determine. The same for all of you.

Thank you everyone on this forum. I couldn't have done it without this community. I pray for your success. All the best.
