Nairobi Visa Office - Spousal Sponsorship 2019/2020

Don't see any recent posts about spousal sponsorships through the Nairobi visa office. My Ethiopian spouse's application just was sent there today, and am a little sad it didn't go to Mississauga. Looking through the tracker for 2019/2020, not too many of us on here... Notice we seem to have a bigger lag between biometrics and medical assessments than anywhere else?

I applied under spousal sponsorship I gave biometric on Feb 25 but no answer it says your tracking Id no 2025****** has been dispatched to the IRCC Office for processing. application forwarded to Nairobi VO on March 4
I don’t know what will be the next step anyone knows the time line please reply thank you

Nairobi visa office appears to be very slow according to the various posts. Our application started being processed there beginning of February but until today, no update or communication from them. We are waiting for medical request. That will most likely be the next step for you when they wake up.

So glad to see we are a number of us! Our file was sent there mid Feb. Haven't heard anything since.. just a message on ECAS : We started processing PA's application on February 18, 2020... So Nairobi VO should have received the file but they seem not to be sending any official communication such as AOR 2 like other VOs. We can only wait and see. Everyday away from my family is a painful day for me. Hope things will work out soon. Good luck to us all.

I went through all of the months in the 2019 tracker, and there were only a handful of cases through Nairobi... fastest was 148 days between application receipt and COPR... but so many are incomplete. I am also really finding the separation with my partner painful, and was so sad that the application was not sent to Mississauga...

The exact same on our side.
The next step will most likely be medical request. Not sure why Nairobi visa office requests medicals after. Some offices do it almost together with the biometrics.

The ecas says the day the biometrics were done and their expiry date. However, it does say they have not been received in the detailed status biometric section...weird. I think it's just a glitch in the system.

ECAS PA Line 2 changed for us! (I understand this means that Nairobi received the application and is equivalent to AOR2 - yay).

If the 2019 tracker is anything to go by, this means that next step should be Medical Request... in 1-3 months. Patience patience patience...

How many days it took ECAS PA Line 2 changed after your application forwarded to VO

I received notice it was sent to VO Feb 26 2020. ECAS says processing was started March 6th. I don't think it updated that day, though I have not been checking ECAS every single day.

Ok thanks that means 9 days to get noticed..... did u ask to give medical ? I only give biometric until know

no - the people who went through nairobi last year weren't asked for medicals for 1-3 months after their file was moved to VO, at least from the spreadsheet...
