My wife's appointment at NVO for this week got cancelled because of COVID19. No rescheduled date. ☹️

The ecas says the day the biometrics were done and their expiry date. However, it does say they have not been received in the detailed status biometric section...weird. I think it's just a glitch in the system.

The exact same on our side. The next step will most likely be medical request. Not sure why Nairobi visa office requests medicals after. Some offices do it almost together with the biometrics.

Nairobi visa office appears to be very slow according to the various posts. Our application started being processed there beginning of February but until today, no update or communication from them. We are waiting for medical request. That will most likely be the next step for you when they wake up.

Hi Druce, The Pretoria visa office seems to be the slowest of them all. I know they service 11 countries but their pace is shockingly slow. Anyway we must keep the faith in the Almighty. His time is the best.

It appears that MR depends on the visa office and how busy it is. VOs seem to be the bottlenecks in the process.

Hi Znarfier, Is it the visa office that send the MR or CIO? My visa office in Pretoria, South Africa is seriously slow for any processing. I applied for a work permit 2.5 months ago parallel to the PR but still no answer.

I received my AOR + UCI via email. Application received at CIO on 2 February 2016, AOR received on the 21 March 2016. It appears quick. ALL GLORY BE TO GOD

I believe the link is outdated. I recently spoke to MPNP and the response was clearly pointing to an email rather than a post mail.

I thought you had to go through the local embassy for the work permit because of medical and security checks. Is your country perhaps exempted from this?
