hi Scott,
pls let us know if the TRV goes through. My wife (from Nairobi) now has her PRV (it went very quickly...see timelines on left) and has landed but she was 2x denied a TRV and I am curious as to....

a. do they ever approve TRVs in Nairobi?
b. do they actually read the TRV apps? I truly don't say this with intent to be mean or rude but my wife was a full time university student at the times of her TRV apps (letter from univ + transcripts included) and the rejection response indicated "we don't believe you will return to your country because your part time employment is not incentive enough". who said anything about PT employment?? it made me unsure if the application was carefully read.

Best wishes to you and all!! [congrats to all new approvals]

Hey guys,
I'm new to this website and just hoped I knew about it before I submitted the PR application for my wife late last month, as there tones of very useful info people are exchanging on this forum.
I have a question: on the application where they ask" how do you communicate with your spouse", I said by phone, email and Skype but didn't add any chat log with the application even though I could have printed it. Is there any way you can add documents once you send or you have to just wait and see if they ask for it.
Do you guys thing if you don't show them how you communicate with your spouse that will make your process to go slower?
Any answer is really appreciated.

Thank you guys and good luck for every one:

My time line!

sent application on April/ 28 /2013
ROA on May/17/13

I would not worry about transcripts of private emails. You are married.
You provide info how you met and what you remember first gift, date
Establish the relationship is real.
Where the wedding was proof.

Thanks Scott.

Very difficult to sleep last night and only got 4 hours before a 13 hour work day.
Wife put in the TRV app yesterday with the VFS in Nairobi.
Oh it is another try while waiting on the PRV and something
That we both are prepared for the worst and hope for the best.
New app with a new twist and mp letter.
Our daughter there with the wife will turn 3 in July.
How nice it would be if?????

Does anyone know if the processing time for the Nairobi office actually takes 21 months or is that just the longest it would take? We are planning on a sponsorship for my husband and that seems just to long!! Any advise?

Hi akenya,

Please refer to this thread on sponsoring times. Depends on file, but most appear to be done within 1 year or less. See spreadsheet in my signature for times of applicants
