Her police check is what worries the most because it's literally just a paper with her photo. Not to mention that the government of canada barely recognizes any document from somalia.
I see...i applied in april, and was transfered to dar salam in july, and so far no news from them. They say no news means good news.Ca-Ke said:

I think this depends on case to case. But i read somewhere in this forum, there was an application that took 3 months and another one 5 months. Its all about luck and how straightforward a case could be.momo2016 said:

they requested new information in June 2015 which was good since I had just come back from Ethiopia to visit him and his family.
now in on august 2, I took the day off from work for his interview....the told us to I should be available just in case they call me and he should bring his passport , police report, my passport copy pics etc.... he brought those with him to interview. the interview went well he said... the didn't call me and they told him they will call in back within one week. since that day no response or update on cic.gc.ca website........ I would love to talk to someone who has been in similar position.

i followed up with them after 1.5 months of sending it in and they confirmed one of their workers received my husbands passport. I emailed them as its been about 80 days since PPR and they said its under active review. So I guess the wait continues its draining.
