Update again!

My husband got a call yesterday saying that he got his visa! His medical is expiring on Sept. 21 so they asked if he would like to re-do them or they could just issue the visa right away, then he would be required to be in Canada before the medicals expire. So he is coming in the next few weeks!! This has been so fast, I hope the rest of you get good news soon! It was great of them to not make us re-do the medical also, I'm glad they're being considerate of people's financial situations a little.

Hi guys,
I just emailed CIC Nairobi telling them that I sent all those docs they are asking for in late June and that it was -delivered to them on mid July with all the info, and asked them if they still want me to re-send them and you know what!! their automated message says they will answer me in 28 working days; why on earth would I have to wait for 28 working days just to know if they lost my stuff or not......I will just re-send I guess.
any one experienced this type of problem please help.

CIC Nairobi can be annoying sometimes especially with their poor communication systems. Even with the automated message saying that you would get reply in 28working days is reliable because it has ever happened to me and i never got any answer even after several months.
So please, since this is your application just take time to arrange the requested documents and send them to CIC Nairobi as soon as possible. At least with courier services (DHL, FEDEX, e.t.c) it will take less that 7days to be delivered.

Hello Rose13, Hopehope1 and the rest of our group,

Yeah, I emailed them giving my tracking number and the other info they need to found where my documents ended up and told them on of their stuff (giving the name) signed out the delivery; but I'm not gonna wait for 28 working days just to find out if my documents produced "legs" and just walked out of the embassy building or not. I have copy of all them so I will just re-send them tomorrow.

Hey everyone! Congrats to Rosé, Vancouver Mombasa and all at or near end point. My wife asked me to give her blessings and mine; you have always had mine no questions.
I sent very good docs now for final push and even looking at cost of 2 oneway tickets. It is not funny but all the delays and even airport burned! What else can go wrong. My wife says her medical was done in sept 2012; omg no not this now!!!

As for my secret, I don't have any! I guess we just got lucky! We also had a lawyer to help us put it together, so I'm sure that helped. Just lots and lots of relationship proof! As much as possible.

Anyway, my husband is now in Nairobi awaiting his appointment to pick up his passport! I am so excited!!!

Wow.............congratulation!!!!!!!!!! That was fast! Now all its left is the landing formalities at Canadian airport but in short, you`re done with this waiting game. For the rest of us,we all hope to get good news soon so am afraid on my part, the waiting game is still on but i hope it`ll be less than 2 months but so far, am getting patient since they`ve asked for my passport!

Whats up my dears as our thread has become abit "silent"? For sure we need to keep the communication open and active so as to guide, support and morale boost one another.
As for me, am all set for my interview in two weeks time (last week of Sept). So please keep me in your prayers.

I sent papers in again to CIC and it must have be a good job because they phone my wife in Nairobi a week later. But the woman asked if we applied for our daughter as citizen of Canada? We didn't and she said we need to. Why? We shouldn't need this.

I phoned the number used to call my wife but of course I can't reach CIC. Anyway they said they will send a letter. I guess I should just begin the application because my daughter is Canadian by birth rite.
I want my wife and daughter today!

Please go ahead and do the needful for your daughter, since she is canada by birth it may be an easy process that you can do once and for all. I understand what you are going through without your family (wife and daughter) but its a small sacrifice of love that we have to pay until that wonderful day comes and we are all reunited.
As for me, am ready for the interview and counting down the days.

Hello Rose13,

For sure on my side there is no news, its now the 3rd week they have my passport so am guessing they`re now running a background check or something :-\. Dealing with CIC is painful, the waiting is killing me but i thank my hubby for his unconditional support every single day :-*.
With God`s blessing, we`ll have good news soon. I wish you all the best with your up coming interview! If anything changes, i`ll update!
