I heard from a friend that they can also ask questions about traditional wedding if you had one especially about dowry( cattles, money, .... and amount) and if you have a dowry certificate( if applicable in your country) bring one if you didn't send with your application.

My dear thanks for the nice words of advise and all the good wishes.
True we had only sent our civil marriage certificate and never included the traditional ceremony certificate. Since you have reminded me of it, let me include it among the documents am preparing for that day. Deep inside my heart am confident that all will go well.
With God all things are possible. Am keeping you all in my prayers so that we all get the best news from Nairobi soon.

Hi everyone!!!!!!!!

I`ve just received good news from my husband this morning! He got a letter from the Nairobi VO, asking for my passport which it was so super fast!!!!! They started processing my Application on the 2th August and on the 5nd August, they sent this letter to my husband so am super excited!!! It took only 3 days for them to ask for my passport so it sound like they have waive the interview. Thank God for that! Since today it`s Thursday in U.A.E and tomorrow on Friday all offices are closed, then i`ll send the passport on Saturday early in the morning.

Thank you Hope! Am sure yours will be in process soon as per your time line. Surely it`s encouraging but it`s the hardest thing to go through........ being apart from your husband/wife for months or a year But God is good and we`ll all join our spouses soon so hang in there!

Update again!

My husband got a call yesterday saying that he got his visa! His medical is expiring on Sept. 21 so they asked if he would like to re-do them or they could just issue the visa right away, then he would be required to be in Canada before the medicals expire. So he is coming in the next few weeks!! This has been so fast, I hope the rest of you get good news soon! It was great of them to not make us re-do the medical also, I'm glad they're being considerate of people's financial situations a little.

CIC requested more pictures. My divorce date certificate etc.
I was upset but now ok I have put more and all into this last push.

Hello comrades,
Nairobi sent me a letter today asking for some documents I already sent + more pictures.
I sent those documents after I submitted my app and I sent them via express post with tracking number. It was delivered to them on early July and signed by a person named Norah.
What do you guys suggest? do I have to send them again and if I do they don't respond and no way to know if these docs are matched to the correct file.
Please advise.

Hi guys,
I just emailed CIC Nairobi telling them that I sent all those docs they are asking for in late June and that it was -delivered to them on mid July with all the info, and asked them if they still want me to re-send them and you know what!! their automated message says they will answer me in 28 working days; why on earth would I have to wait for 28 working days just to know if they lost my stuff or not......I will just re-send I guess.
any one experienced this type of problem please help.
