Hi All,
First of all Thank you to this forum for giving so much knowledge. Though, I started following this forum after I had already applied my CEC file but still I got so much information regarding all other processing steps..
You can see my Timelines on side, it took approx 256 days from Day file they received and my landing..
And it took Full one month between getting MR and Landing,, So just feeling lucky to be among one of the fast processing cases.. 8)
So, I have successfully completed my landing Yesterday and to do something different I choose to do it on Saturday in the evening(Rush Hours) at Rainbow Bridge(not recommended by some people) & I took one of my friend which is on Work Permit and he has also applied in CEC but waiting for MR.
Note: We both had American Visa`s & Valid I94`s to enter US but by mistake they considered us without US Visa
We entered to Rainbow Bridge around 5:30 PM from Cliffton Hill Side, yeah at that time Bridge was full with cars ahead us.. We just waited along with traffic for our Turn. It took around 20-25 minutes to clear bridge and reach Officer on the US side. I gave him the passports & he asked what is reason to go to US. Actually we wanted to Enter US and do some shopping quickly from Wallmart (White Butter & Carton of Milk, because i like the Carton which is not available in Canada 8)), But than I thought Its too late and I told him that I want to Complete my Landing procedure. The officer didnt see our VISA by that time and he thought that we just want to Turn to Canada for Immigration. He than called another Officer and handed our Passports to him and told me to Park car on a place and gave me a receipt, which they usually see when you Go out from there premises. I parked Car on the spot and we both entered in the office next to Bridge. After entering Office I showed that slip to the officer sitting there and he told us to take lift and go to Second floor from where you usually get your I94. We waited on second floor for 5-10mins and a officer came there looking for us on second floor and told us that you were Supposed to sit in Car actually.. ;D... But he didnt say anything else.. Than he gave us a letter which you call Administrative Refusal, I don`t know why people have Misconception of calling that thing a Refusal, whereas it was just a letter issued to Canadian Officials explaining that these two people came to US on this vehicle number for Immigration purposes and we let them Go.. There was no stamp or anything on Passport.
Note: So please don`t get scared from word Refusal. We had US Visas but they still gave us that letter because we were just making a kind of U turn from US side.
Than the officer gave us the passports and opened a Special Gate and guided us to make a left turn for Bridge to Canada, so technically we never entered US. I paid $3.25 toll for bridge and drove on the bridge. On the other End there were just 3-4 cars ahead us & We just saw a Cheap As* Racist white old As#ho#e who was in Car next to us and was saying that "Go Back to States, We Dont need You", My friend shouted him back saying "Go tell the Government & Go tell your MP" (this kind of thing happened with me for the first time in 4 years)... Anyways after that we reached on the Canadian Side checkpoint, there was a Lady officer and I told her that I want to complete landing and she asked for status of my friend and asked some basic Questions like where do you live, Are you carrying and explosives and so and gave me a Yellow slip and told me to park my Car and go inside two doors there...
So We parked the Car, Went inside the Canadian side office, it was kind of empty, just 2-3 people sitting there. The lady on reception saw our passports and gave us back and told us to be seated on chairs and they will call me..
So after 5 minutes the another officer called me, he took my passport, CPR & the letter from US side and asked me for address. He asked for license but I told him that on my License address is not same as my Mailing address, so he noted down my new address, confirmed my phone number and told me to sit again. In that time he filled up my CPR And called me again and told me to put my Initials on two places and Sign on the bottom. I completed that and He said your PR card will be mailed in 4-6 weeks and now you are Permanent Residence of Canada and to keep this status you have to live here 2 years in 5 years, he also said that you are already living here so they will credit me 1 year time and I will be eligible to apply for Citizenship after 2 years,,, He gave me copy of CPR and told me to keep that as Landing paper.. I asked thats it n he said THATS ALL, you are good to go...
I was wearing shorts lol,, he never asked me for any extra thing..
So by 6:50 PM we were out of immigration office.. Traffic took time, main thing jus took 10 minutes...
this was my Landing experience,, And with Gods grace I officially got status of Permanent Residence of Canada..
I will give keep following this forum and i will continue to share my experience with new members..
Good Luck everyone...
