My application after AOR got rejected because they said I haven't done ECA

Hi All,

I have got an ITA on 4th December, I have 463 points. I have done my ECS in 2014 November, an in the report it is the report it is mentioned that a copy is forwarded to CIC.

When I completed my application and submitted all the documents and I received my AOR last week.

On Thursday I received an message stating the cancellation of my application stating the reason as ECA was not done.

I have appealed to CIC. But still confused on what to do next.

Is any one faced similar situation? If so what have you done next?

Can please someone help me on this issue. I am not sure whether CIC will revert back to its original decision or not.

Did you enter correct Eca number? Did you attach eca post ITA?

Yeah did it, I double checked the number and attached the ECA as well. Still I don't know why it happened.

If it is mistake on CIC's part..they will reopen that is what I have seen in few other case..have you sent a CSE?

1. Does your ECA reference number have the 'IMM' suffix?

2. Can you copy paste the relevant portions from the cancellation letter? What exactly does the officer say?

What horrible news...

You said your ECA is from November/2014. ECAs from this date were still not "WES Online Access" enabled. This means that CIC is not able to login to WES using the ECA code you gave them. The quick way to check this is to see that your code does not end in "IMM".

Quick way to solve this: order a ECA report upgrade here: https://www.wes.org/ca/apply/xcopycic.asp?

Then raise CSE and send them the report again, tell them you already had the report, now you just upgraded it.

Hey guys!

Thanks for your message and sorry for the very late reply.

CIC sent the letter to my Canadian lawyer who is in Canada.

So I don't have the actual copy of the rejection letter.

They have refunded my money within a time span of 3 days time from the date of rejection letter.

Now we have received an letter from them stating that they are working on the case and will let us know if they need any documents.

In the mean time we have prepared a new pplication and got the ITA on the last draw. Now we are unable to proceed with the new ITA. My situation gets complicated.

If any one faces the same situation as me please let me know what you have done to solve the issue.

P.S. MY ECA code doesn't end in IMM.

What difference does it make if ECA ref number has 'IMM' fix or not?

I have already submitted my application and checked now that my ECA ref no. has IMM but my wife's ECA doesn't have IMM suffix.

I'm pretty sure I got the FSWP ECA package with CIC access from WES in 2013...my suffix isn't IMM either.

I checked cover Letter for my wife's ECA and it says

"As you requested your evaluation report and your verified transcripts have been sent to recipient(s) listed below.

Citizenship and Immigration Canada - FSWP


Reference# ends with /lac

Please let me know, what do I need to do. I have already submitted my application

I haven't attached the ECA report, but now found there are couple of cases like mine which got rejected due to the same reason as mine.

Varun:- If you are applying now, upload all the documents including ECA report though CIC doesn't aske for ECA other than the reference number.
