If you have included your eca report then you no need to worry mate.

To be safe, I would order a duplicate copy of ECA from WES which has the IMM suffix, and send that to CIC.
https://www.wes.org/ca/apply/xcopycic.asp?

This apparently also gives CIC an electronic access to your ECA.

I attached my ECA in the education docs, but I guess I'll have to do this then! Thanks for digging this up. +1

Guys Can any one let me know how long it will take to get an response from CIC if we raise a cse?

About 1 month for a usual response, but if you search for the user yelena, I believe her case got reopened after 3 months. It may vary per user, but just to give you an idea.

I already ordered my duplicate copy for CIC, but the WES website says the processing will take 20 business days...although I hope that's only true for brand new ECAs rather than duplicate copy orders. :( I just hope then CIC doesn't think of trying to access my electronic ECA soon.

Thanks mate. For me the case is quite complicated.

They initially rejected and refunded the fees. The fees refund was done on Jan 18th.

But on Jan 29th we received a letter from CIC that they are working on the case and they will contact me if they need any more documents.

Will my case will be considered as they have refunded my fees?

I have got an new ITA on the last draw ie 27th Jan draw.

Confused whether to go with the new ITA or wait for a decision from CIC regarding my old EE profile.

Did they refund your entire fees (including the cost recovery fee of $550 per applicant), or just the RPRF?

On this forum, it's advised, and from the experience of a few members who it happened to, it's faster to proceed with a new profile and ITA than to reopen a closed case. Some of them even get PPR in a matter of days.

What does your lawyer advise?

They have refunded the entire fees. My lawyer asked to wait for a months time to see how it proceeds. Because he said from his experience when they say they are working on a case they will process it soon. So not to confuse with two applications.

I would have agreed to him if the CIC haven't refunded the entire fees.

That's not bad advice as it's also from experience (also from others here).
You might have to pay again here: https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/welcome.do

Good luck! Hope it turns out well for you.

Thanks mate. Its an huge adventure to get Canadian PR!!!

Hello everyone,

Re. this matter, starting December last year, OINP requested applicants to send a duplicate copy to OINP perhaps for the same issue CIC is having.
Hence that's what I did.

If I remember correctly, the order details indicated that one copy was sent to OINP and another to CIC. However I cannot confirm this as currently it only says a copy was sent to OINP. Also, they refunded me some of the fee I paid but I wasn't able to determine the reason.

Can anyone please confirm whether this should suffice for CIC stage application/APR?

Thanks much in advance.

When you get your ECA done initially , the fee for making the report available to CIC is included in the fee paid by you. CIC has agreement with these organisations to access the database and see the report on line.
OINP has recently put a news update dated 11/1/16 on the website for the duplicate copy to be made available to OINP.

I see, thanks for this. That must be for recent/new ECAs. I believe those who requested 2014 going back (like me), the report is not yet available online; hence it has to be upgraded via duplicate copy or some other process.

Also, the concern now is whether the report was made available to CIC when we requested for duplicate copy to OINP.

Check your order and evaluation confirmation email if CIC was in the recipients. It is in mine.

I recently got my upgraded report, and I spotted the differences from the older one:
- reference number suffix is now IMM
- header now says "Educational Credential Assessment for Citizenship and Immigration Canada" instead of "Credential Evaluation and Authentication Report"
- it says "Duplicate Evaluation Report (original completed on XXXX)" underneath the Canadian equivalency
- there is a footer that says "This WES ECA report is intended for use in connection with a CIC immigration application. CIC will verify the report against an electronic copy from WES. Your WES ECA report will be voided and not accepted by CIC if it is found to be altered or modified in any way"

Hope that helps!

Thanks for this. Indeed, in my order and evaluation confirmation it says there a copy was sent to CIC. However when I check my WES account, it only indicates OINP.

For a copy of the upgraded report, WES responded to me:

Please note the package you have ordered does not come with a downloaded Pdf copy of your report.

*****Do not reply to this email. Please use the form at http://www.wes.org/ca/contact.asp for all correspondence.********

So based on their confirmation when I ordered, a copy is sent to CIC, but it doesn't state so in my WES account. And that the package I ordered back then doesn't include a copy of my report, which is weird...

I'll guess I'll just stand by their confirmation email that one copy was sent to CIC.
But do you think I ought to have a copy of the upgraded report myself?
