Multi Entry Visa

Our family is here visiting, they have the option to stay 6 months but will be only staying 2 months.
Once they decide they want to visit again, is there a certain amount of time they must stay in home country before re-entering Canada to visit us again?
Or because its multi entry they can travel back and forth as long as their visa is valid and not over staying?

They can travel as often as they like, but must satisfy CBSA they arent living in Canada. Generally they should spend more time In Their home country than in Canada. CBSA will determine on entry how long they can stay.
