1. Yes you do.
2. Nope. Wait till VO request for it or not before MR.

From experience VO do not request for POF again except there is something dodgy in your proof. All the best

Hi Carl, as per my case, my brother submitted his Settlement Plan 2 and he received email from MPNP acknowledging receipt of the same. He even forward me the letter from MPNP.

That's good to know. At least the sponsor will be notified (and the applicant as well). Some of the people I know never received any confirmation from MPNP yet the document reached their office. Thanks for the info :D

Hi Carl and all,
I am in the process of gathering all the documents after receiving the LOA, my question is, do i still need to notarize the photocopies of passports and other docs per checklist?Do I need to also send the proof of funds though it's not included in the checklist? Please advise

thank you.

Hi Rose. As per the CIO checklist (version Jan 2012), copies of documents don't need to be notarized. A lot of forum members did not notarize their documents and they were accepted by CIO. There's no harm if you will have them notarized. In my case, some of my documents were notarized previously (2011, but not really intended for CIO) and some were not. There is nothing in the checklist that says copies must be notarized. Unless there is a more recent version of the checklist that says copies must be notarized.

Likewise regarding proof of funds, this is not in the checklist so a lot of forum members including myself did not include any proof of funds. In the checklist it says: Do not send any additional documents when sending your application to CIO.

Good luck!

You may likewise pay for your rprf together with your pf. But the problem with this is the fee payment form provided by cic is just for pf. In my case I did not pay for rprf yet and I used my credit card. Some forum members used the same form but modified it in some way so that it will indicate that the second form is for rprf.

I am not sure if you need to provide 2 separate bank drafts. I would like to think that you can just provide 1 with the total amount. However, maybe other forum members who used bank draft can share their experience.

It`s me again. I am reading checklist IMM5690E right now, it says that a notarized copy must to be sent only if documents are not in English or French. That is why I was wrong, as I am russian.
:)

Hi, I am new here :) We are planning to submit our documents on June 26, coz that is the day that we claim our passports. We will be applying online under family stream and the one who will be sponsoring us is my husbands second cousin. Would we still qualify for 'family strea' even if they are just second cousin? Please give us light on this. thanks! this forum is really helpful.

Hi, we will be submitting our documents next week. I ask our relative in Winnipeg and they told us its ok not to take the ielts exam since the effectivity for ielts requirement will be thos submitting July 1. Do we really have to take the ielts exam. And also, the one sponsoring us is my husbands second cousin, do we still qualify under the family stream? Please shed us light on this. Thanks :)

Thanks Carl and all...

i am starting to fill up the form yet on the process I still have a question,in Economicimm0008_4e,what do you mean by provincial stream/category?Is it provincial nominee that i should write? Please help again.

Hi Carl and all,
another question, I am the one processing the online application of my brother, from the Employment History part, the letter reference or certificate should indicate the duties and responsibilities of the employee however, in my brother's case, his Employment certificate only stated the first and last period of employment and no duties & resp and the sad thing about it is, the company already closed its operation. How should i handle this?Is it ok to produce a copy of duties and responsibilities from a simple bondpaper without the company's logo? Please advise

Personally, i have sent 1 draft cheque for PF and RPRF and it has been encashed by CIO.

Thanks for the confirmation adg256.

Hi rose. Are you referring to the Generic Application Question 1 and 2? If yes, Q1 you must select Economic, then Q2 Provincial Nominee.

Regarding your question with employment certificates, I cannot give you an answer since I have no experience with those because I am self employed.

Good luck!
