hello there! just want you to know that i applied one month ahead of you (april4,2014) and until now my status is : received. i saw one applicant here in the forum @ canilangcd that he applied last feb2014 and done with his assessment this november 2014. i counted the months he waited and its 9 months. maybe, we can also wait 9 months from the time we applied. hehe. and that would be on january 2015 if i count mine. i hope for the best for both of us! just keep the patience in waiting and put god in evrything. it will happen! be positive!

I am also not sure about this. Is it possible to apply to CIC before receiving MPNP Certificate and just send it in later ?

To answer your question, MPNP will let you know their decision (approval or rejection) via mail, as in postal mail to your permanent address. If you receive an LOA, the letter will contain further instructions on how to proceed with your application to CIC (Step-2).

If they need any additional documents during the assessment process then they will contact you by e-mail. I hope you are clear now. Be strong. Everything will be ok. Good luck

I like the way you think but as per the rules you cannot do that. You will have to send the LOA along with your CIC application. It must be a whole package, not in pieces. If you send in your application packet without your LOA, it would be labelled as incomplete and will be returned back to you which further delays your process.. Everything will happen when the time is right.. Have patience. Good luck.

any body else can get call from manitoba immig and my question that it is normal that applicant and sponsor both can interviewed

I am a Feb 2014 applicant under GS.
MPNP interviewing both the sponsor and applicant usually depends on the application and differs on a case-by-case basis.
I received a call from the officer on Nov 13th and they called my sponsor on Nov 14th..
They spoke with me about my education, employment, family, relatives... the same old..

Hi guys, I just heard from my friend that he got a great opportunity in Vancouver, and he decided to move there next year. He is my supporter and the only friend I know in Winnipeg. I am afraid this means I will not be eligible for this application, right? Does anyone know how to deal with this problem? Many thanks. Now, I feel really sad, but it's hard for me to tell him how I feel, I have to support him cause he got a good job there, and the city is where he wanna live.

Now my status is received.

I hear what you say but it would greatly help you if you just talk to your friend about your current situation.. It always helps when the supporter and the applicant are on the same page at all times coz when the MPNP officers calls you both and say if you are NOT aware of what your supporter might or might not say then you will be the one who will be in trouble. I hope that's clear.

I believe that if he is a Canadian citizen and has any properties (and paying taxes in Winnipeg), he can still support you since he has a connection to Winnipeg. Just talk to him and then decide what must be done instead of you jumping into conclusions.. Good luck!

Thanks Druce, so you mean it's really tough for me to get the PR and better to think other ways, right? My score is 76, and I still have 66 points if minus the 10 points from my friend, does it mean any chance? Or I must have the a supporter, no matter what score I have? You know anything about it? Hi Ben, to answer your question.. YES. you must have a connection to the province to which you are applying. Even if you score above 60 and not have a connection to Manitoba, then you might not be able to apply under the MPNP. But like I said before, talk to your friend and see if he is a Canadian citizen or not.. Then plan accordingly.. Never lose hope.. Good luck!

Hi umair110, congratulations on this, I trust you will have your Nomination Certificate in the next couple of weeks after supplying all documentation.
Just a couple of questions (maybe some other forum mates can shed some light on these questions as well?):
1) What questions did they ask you?
2) What questions did they ask your sponsor?
3) What questions did they ask your employer?
4) Did they ask your or your sponsors bank stat and letter of employment T4s and ROE's ?
5) What is a T4s and a ROE's ?
6) Were you aware that they will interview your employer?

I would not want them to interview my employer as this can cause the remaining period at my job to be a awkward time. i have not told my employer about my plans to immigrate. Should I notify them? Have anyone else had this case of employer being interviewed?

Sorry about all the questions but I believe that it is not long before my application changes status and I want to be fully prepared. Than you in advance for taking the time to answer my questions.

To answer your question, if you have mentioned your employer name/email id/phone number in any part of the application, then you better give a heads-up to your employer that he might be receiving a call from MPNP officers. Its better to be safe than sorry, right? But on the other hand, if you haven't mentioned any of your employer details in the application then you don't have to worry. Good luck!

Thank you for clarifying. My employer however will not take the news of me immigrating lightly. If he know about this it will make my life hell at work. I did give the HR Managers contact details but this person is resigning end December 2014 and now I dont know who they will contact.

Is it a definite that they contact all the employers of every applicant? This was the first time I heard that they might contact the employer ???
