Hello! I'm new here in this forum. I joined in hoping to get some answers from my worries.I submitted my application last May14, 2014. I received an email right away confirming that they've received my application and should wait within 48 hours for my file number. But up to this date I have not receive any file number . How will I monitor the status of my application? How will I know if my sponsor have received his Sp2. My sponsor is my friend. Bu the way my application is MPNP. Thanks guys.

thank you. another question please. when it comes to financial, do i have to submit proof upon submission that i have ALL the funds required? i have 3 dependents so it will be 16,000 CAD, but i do not have the full amount YET. I will definitely meet the fund requirement upon receiving my separation pay, sale of properties etc.. thanks again..

Yes you need to show Proof of Funds upon submission. I also have 3 dependants. If you have properties under your name you may upload the Transfer Certificate of Title with corresponding Market Value to reinforce your finances.

You may want to wait a little bit more...a week or two.

Sir regarding bank statements, will they require a bank certificate or they only ask for the updated bank statement? thanks.

Hi. Bank statement is mandatory in MPNP, it should be current as well.

Hello everyone.

I have put my "Intended Occupation" as "Accountant and Related Clerks (noc 1431)" which is not regulated in my MPNP application. As my profession is not regulated in Manitoba I have to answer following two questions:

1. If your occupation is not regulated, what steps will you take before you arrive in Manitoba to ensure you find skilled employment soon after arriving in Manitoba?

2. Are you planning to upgrade your job skills before you arrive in Manitoba?

Which Canadian Govt, Non-govt websites do you suggest me to gather info. So that i can write with more solid information.

Hello Josefa, just wanna clarify with you if: after uploading your documents, did you already click submit? Coz even if its already uploaded but not yet submitted, you can still change/delete/update the documents that you have uploaded before submitting your application.

However, if your application was already submitted, then as far as I know, they will request for an updated bank statement soon, so when that time comes, that would be your opportunity to send them what you have and in that sense, you don't need to cancel the already uploaded & submitted bank document. Just wait when they will request you to submit the updated bank statement. And as you have mentioned with/without the money you borrowed from a friend you have more than 10K CAD in you account, which is the minimum funds require for a single applicant. Please note that its always +2K CAD per dependent (spouse + child/ren).

Dont worry, I also experience the same, what you need to do is email immigratemanitoba@gov.mb.ca

and ask for your file number. As for your supporter, ask her if he/she receive an email from immigratemanitoba

for the SP2. He/She needs to send it in 1 month or the application may be revoke. Thanks

First & foremost MPNP is more flexible and not as strict as FSWP. What kind of skilled job would u want to do in manitoba? Do u have at least 1yr trade test certificate in the above job u would mention?
If yes then I think ur aunt can sponsor u under family category. But she can only sponsor ur spouse as a friend under General stream to save u all the trouble. Both of u can also partake on the IELTS test. The relationship bw ur aunt and spouse cannot be termed directly as family so opt for the General stream for ur spouse if u don't have a trade test certificate to boost ur score. But if u could arrange for that then the best option is for ur aunt to sponsor u under family stream and not ur spouse.

Situation is, I have an Aunt who will be sponsoring my Application under family support stream, I have been working Full time for the past 4 years, but I did not finish my college. My common-law partner is also working for 4 years now and she finished her college with Bachelor's degree.
My aunt is willing to sponsor us, but we couldn't decide on who will be the Principal applicant is.
Need help. Is it going to be advantage if I am the principal applicant since it's my relative by blood? or my partner, with her education status?
If my partner will be more likely to be the principal applicant, will she be eligible to apply under family support stream?
Need to decide before taking IELTS next month.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

You cant get zero for education cos u must have done some of education from elementary to high school for u to write this good and for MPNP the minimum score isnt 67 like thats of FSWP, its 55 or 60 so I think. Your chances of getting approved is high but u must have a trade test certificate from a reputable organisation or via the company ur working with now. And yes u are eligible in family stream via ur aunt.

I applied through a consultation firm (Canadian Provincial Nominee and Immigration Services) here in the Philippines. They are the ones who submitted all my documents at the government. then I received my file number last October and paid USD2,180 for further processing of my visa.

Hi IBP1014!

According to how I look at your case, I believe that the money which u paid to the consultant was only for their "service/s", and so, therefore, it doesn't include the visa fee. The visa fee have to be sent/paid to the Canadian Embassy directly.
