From MPNP application MPNP did not ask for Ielts just only certification from school submitted that medium of communication is English and I know Canada knows Philippines 2nd language is English.

Plus my NOC code and category given as per LOA is Mechanical Engineer. At CIC, could this require to get Ielts? I am now filling up forms for CIO sending soon. or I will leave if blank and wait for the CIC request if it is required. As far I know our category will be waived.

Pls advise..

Hi Munde, im also from the Philippines. On filling up the form and following cic checklist an IELTS result is required. Im not sure if there's an exception. What im sure of is you need to follow instruction on how and what to submit to cic to avoid delays on your application.

Friend, look, even UK citizens are required to give to MPNP their IELTS exam, so why you are thinking that you can avoid this step?
IELTS is required for MPNP, that's it.

Friend, look, even UK citizens are required to give to MPNP their IELTS exam, so why you are thinking that you can avoid this step?
IELTS is required for MPNP, that's it.

I have already approved at MPNP without Ielts. since I have started my application I ask my sponsor if I will take for Ielts. they told me that your category is exempt.

I have re check:
Proof of language proficiency
Starting July 1, 2012 most applicants to PNP in semi or low skilled THAT WILL FALL UNDER NOC skill level C and D are required to complete a language prof test or IELTS.

i will check my NOC 213 code as per stated in my LOA.

You can not submit your docs to CIO Nova Scotia. without IELTS result.
It is part of docs checklist at CIC CIO stage,
So it is must to provide.
Result is as low as 5.5 band is acceptable.
So dont avoid just provide.
