hi guys,

I have distant relatives in Manitoba so I wanted to apply under the general stream.

But my parents and siblings are all residing in Alberta. Any advise on whether our application can be approved or not?

thanks,
stephen

In my opinion, your chances are slim. Your siblings who naturally should be closer to you are in Alberta while your distant relatives stay in Manitoba. There are high propensity to move to where you have close affinity than stay where there is less.

As I said this is just my view.

You can still give it a try as there is nothing impossible before God.

he emperor,

I sent my cic application today, my visa office is in manila and i paid the fees online.
what does CIO mean? if im right, base from the tracking sheet i need to wait 2-3months for the confirmation that they already received my documents? hope everything's right and i didnt miss anything. ???

Good to know. I have included the relevant information I have but need you to confirm when you paid online as well as when your application is received in CIO Nova Scotia.

CIO means Centralized Intake Office. This is where all application is initially submitted for screening before dispatch to the visa office in charge for the processing of the application.

Welcome to the forum. Good to see you are done with the whole process :). Kindly look at the track sheet and provide your information in that order as it will be helpful for others under your stream to know how long it took to get PPR.

I updated my profile to show the info. What is an AOR?

I was also interviewed during my MPNP Application. One reason is my previous application as live-in caregiver in Ontario that I did not pursue. I declared it in the forms I submitted. Questions mostly concentrated in that aspect. She also asked me if I have any other relatives outside of Manitoba. Although I did not declare it in the forms but I honestly said yes. As much as possible, I want to be honest, I know that they have ways to know things. I then explained that I wasn't aware of my 2 relatives living in Vancouver when I submitted my application because we are not close and I never talked with them. And I only learned about them through my sponsor while we were chatting few months after I submitted my application. The interview went for about 20 minutes. Luckily, my LOA was issued the day after our interviews, sponsor & applicant.

The key for a successful interview is to be honest. This will ensure your answers are consistent. If the question is answerable by YES or NO, answer it either with YES or NO only. If the officer is satisfied, no explanation will be asked. If not, then that's the time to elaborate and explain your answer. The more you talk the more mistakes you might commit and more topics can be discussed. Concentrate on how you will help their economy and how willing you are to stay in their province.

Good luck on your LOA.

thanks bro... my faith is strong now.... my LOA is on the way IJN.... cant wait to share the good news to you guys hope u have me on your timeline right. thanks tweety05

Congrats! Reminders: Prepare carefully your CIC application. Check several times the filled-up forms and supporting documents before submitting. A mere absence of a signature can cause a returned application.

Hi Emperor, ad123164 and Itguy29
I have not received my AOR as its been more than 2 months. In the google spreadsheet that Emperor is managing there is Mr. karambir singh
Who got AOR even though his file received by CIO on 14th Feb 2013 and AOR received on 25th Mar 2013. Although he has not given other dates like PF ENCASHED but still he got AOR. Guys as per your suggestion i sent email to them saying everything in detail about my case. I got email from them that we will send you response in 20 working days.

I am really worried that what is going on and this waiting time is really big time. Guys please share your all possible thoughts that i can convey to my sponsor and immigration officer to sustain in my file.

I hope god bless me with AOR soon.

Thanks and Regards

You should be happy with the reply! If your file is already reviewed and they have already made a decision to return due to incompleteness, they would have given you an outright reply. Maybe your file is somehow misplaced :(. In the meantime, all you can do is patiently wait.

Actually they have not replied but I got automated reply when i sent email. So if the file return then again I need put complete file and resubmitting and then needs to wait for 2 monttttttttttttttttths for AOR.. All again...................... :(

I am so upset with this. Hope they wont return my file.
