i'm going to submit my cic application via FEDEX today, i just wanna ask what does "affix sufficient postage mean?
will it be provided by the courier or it's the documentary stamp i need to provide and get from the post office? thanks!

guys....few pet questions..... hope i will get best answers

1. what is tentative processing time for General stream (Friend support letter), now a days.
2. As my friend is giving settlement plan to me... what should i write in place "HOW DO U & FORM HOW LONG U KNOW THIS PERSON". I mean what is best way to show that i have strong ties with my friend.
3. I have no funds in my bank yet. But I will tranfer $10000 in a day or two. So I have to wait for 3 months as they have mentioned ur funds should be 3 months old????
4. For how long, I have to maintain funds in bank???? PLZZZZ this is very important question for me.......
5. What is the main reason of refusal . I hope there is less refusal rate.

Welcome to the group and track sheet updated. I would advice you start work on the application to CIO Nova Scotia in anticipation of the receipt of your LOA.

hi emperor & everyone,

i applied for GS march 2012, in which i got AOR july, which i was told to write IELTS exams, that i submitted on 9th september 2012, tuesday last week my sponsor was interviewed by the officer in charge of my application, to my surprise my employer too was called, to confirm how long have been working there and some other things.

but to around everything up, i was also interviewed too which went fine expect i was asked that do i have any other relatives in canada , in which i said YES, which was not declared in my application. am so confused. :'(
Just praying for positive response in my application for the next stage.

Let us be optimistic that your LOA will be issued in due time.

I have distant relatives in Manitoba so I wanted to apply under the general stream.

But my parents and siblings are all residing in Alberta. Any advise on whether our application can be approved or not?

Point-per-point replies...

1. It has been irregular these days due to heavy backlog. You can judge yourself by clicking on the tracking sheet that appears in any of Emperor's posts.
2. Reply TRUTHFULLY! The MPNP officer who will conduct the interviews (for you & your supporter) can easily sense if you really have a close relationship with your supporter. They usually re-phrase the same question 3x to check whether you will give a consistent answer to the same question.
3. Nothing is mentioned that bank statement should be 3 months old. MPNP asks for a 3-month bank statement. It's OK, no need to wait for 3 months before applying. As long as you have enough funds in the bank.
4. This question I cannot give a definite answer due to irregular processing times of MPNP for GS nowadays. Also, CIO/VO might ask you for an updated bank statement during the processing of the permanent residence visa.
5. Usually the subject in your question no. 2.

One more thing, They have a column number of years of secondary education, I have 10th after that 10+2, but 10+2 is not cleared. Should i write 10 OR 12???? After that i have 3 years diploma and than b tech degree.....

Are you applying ONLINE? Much better online for faster processing and receipt of AOR.

You should write only educational background which you can support with documents. They will require you supporting documents for every educational infos you will write. For GS, both applicant & supporter are being interviewed. Sometimes, even your present employer. MPNP will do everything to check veracity of information you have offered.

I'm also a nov gs app, we're in the same timeline mate, we need to extend more our patience, coz as what I have known, they were entering all apps for the month of october. But as what I've seen they were trying to reduce the huge number of backlogs. hope will have our turn soon.
