Hi, I sent my application under GS last Sept 19,2012 and was received on Sept. 25,2012 up until now I still have not receive the assigned file number. I'm just wondering how can I be able to check if my documents were received? Is there someone who is the same as my case still have not receive file number? Is the processing time to receive the file number alone usually takes up to 1 year? My 2 friends sponsor still has not receive yet a notice from Manitoba.

Hopefully you should get the AOR anytime from now. A look at the track sheet shows that some applicants with the same timeline have received their AOR.

I was also interviewed by the program officer, asking the same question..I did not declare my husband's relative in Manitoba since they have no communication since then, but I told that my husband has a relative but they are not close. No problem will arise in your application if your relative is in Manitoba, but if in other province, there will be a conflict..

I was also interviewed during my MPNP Application. One reason is my previous application as live-in caregiver in Ontario that I did not pursue. I declared it in the forms I submitted. Questions mostly concentrated in that aspect. She also asked me if I have any other relatives outside of Manitoba. Although I did not declare it in the forms but I honestly said yes. As much as possible, I want to be honest, I know that they have ways to know things. I then explained that I wasn't aware of my 2 relatives living in Vancouver when I submitted my application because we are not close and I never talked with them. And I only learned about them through my sponsor while we were chatting few months after I submitted my application. The interview went for about 20 minutes. Luckily, my LOA was issued the day after our interviews, sponsor & applicant.

The key for a successful interview is to be honest. This will ensure your answers are consistent. If the question is answerable by YES or NO, answer it either with YES or NO only. If the officer is satisfied, no explanation will be asked. If not, then that's the time to elaborate and explain your answer. The more you talk the more mistakes you might commit and more topics can be discussed. Concentrate on how you will help their economy and how willing you are to stay in their province.

Good luck on your LOA.

according to my sponsor , she was interviewed for around 15 mins. asking her if she will still support me and my family? , where we first met?, personal questions abt my family, etc.

i didnot received any calls from them nor to my 2nd sponsor.

hopefully, i wlll get my LOA anytime now. :)

That's good :)

Usually of they will interview your 2nd sponsor or you it will be the same day but their are also instances but rare that they will call days after the first interview. Be ready just in case.

How was the interview with your sponsor?

You may prepare for your PRV application while waiting for the decision letter. Start reading the guide first and refer to it will filling in the forms. Here's the link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/prov-apply-application.asp

Good luck
