I received my permanent resident status in August 2023 through the Express Entry Program, without a provincial nomination, which basically gives me the right to live, work and study anywhere in Canada. I recently got a job from an international Company that has an office in Montreal, so I'm moving there in August 2024. However, from what I have been reading I am a bit worried that in order to live in the province of Quebec I need certain additional permits such as CSQ in order to have access to things like Medicare and even not have any problems when applying for citizenship (due to the fact that I initially declared that my intention was not to live in Quebec and in fact I had marked Vancouver as my destination city).
As I mentioned above, my initial intention was not to move to the province of Quebec, however, it is where I was able to get a job, and that is the reason why I need to move there.
Do you know what I need to reside and work in Montreal? Also, if I would move to a city outside of Quebec (to ensure my compliance with what was declared in the permanent residence application), could I still keep my job in Montreal without having the restrictions or inconveniences that I mentioned above?
