Good day. I applied visitor visa for my mother in law which was recently approved. She has a common law partner and we indicated it on her application as well as submitting the declaration. We are now planning to apply him as well to accompany my mom in law.

Is he considered as an extended family or do we apply him as immediate family? Do we need to submit any proof they are together?

Immediate family but they will need to show proof that they are common law to be considered immediate family. If they are vaccinated with one of the 4 approved vaccines it would be easier to travel as a normal tourist versus having to prove common law status at the airport.
