TRV for Common Law Partner

Hi Guys! How are you? I am in more than 9 years in relationship with my boyfriend who is now a PR of Canada. He got his PR last Sept 2012. Actually, before he landed in Canada, we lived together for more than 2 years so therefere we became common-law partner. He did'nt include me on the forms when he file for PR. The reasons why 1.) don't have proof of cohabitation 2.) don't have conjugal stuff like joint bank account etc. 3.) he doesn't want the process of his PR be delayed. And now he is planning to sponsor me under category common-law partner but according to the people we knew, he can't sponsor me under that category because he didn't declare me on his PR application. So our option now is to go there as visitor.The question is shall I declare him as my common-law partner? or boyfriend? Thank you. Appreciate any advice.

You said you can't prove you are common law.... so how would you "declare him" as something you can't prove?
