My wife seen today on Ukrainian forum (don't know address) that girl had interview last week and was approved yesterday or today. She couldn't find her approval timing since AOR though...

Dmitri, do you know anything about this?

Ya the girl just said its her husbands friend married a girl from ukraine. No dates mentioned other then interview date.most likely they went through kiev

Re: TRV special form

If you ask for Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) while waiting for Permanent Resident Visa please make sure you fill this new form called Supplementary Information Form otherwise your application will be refused. It is not even listed in document checklists:

No problem. We almost missed it. We just sent today our application for a TRV (dual-intent). Apparently they give them more easily these days recognizing that PRVs take a long time to deliver.

By the way why is Moscow's office so slow compared to Kiev in delivering PRVs? A year ago it was the exact opposite. I've read somewhere that the director (of visa & imm. dept.?) at Moscow's consulate has been replaced recently. I wonder if this has anything to do with it. Or maybe it is due to the transition from the old system to the new system.

Well atleast they are asking for additional info so its good they are working on ur file.have you been back to russia after submitting applicarion to mississauga?if so i would send them more proof.like tickets boarding passes.i was in russia for xmas and we voluntairly sent more info to them.also order caips it will take 30 days and you will be able to see the comment officers make when working on your file. My app was received by moscow nov 24 aor feb 1 so i got lots of time left

well , I am here in Russia now since Jan 30 2011, I am going back to Vancouver on 16 March because of my work, but I will apply Russian visa again. I will try to come back around March 30-Apr 3

I just upgrade my passport from 24 pgs to 48 pgs, I am travel to Russia almost every two month. stay around 2 weeks at most time.

Ya u shoukd def let them know that you are here with wifo for such extended periods.i was there for 5 weeks during new years.we are going to apply for visitors visa mid march.if denied i will go for 2-3 weeks in may. What does ur ecas say?

My Ecas in processing, that's all , nothing changed since transfer to Moscow, also I don't know about additional info is good idea, I heard if you continuely to send your papers in , might slow down processing

Hey shawn and newbie.

My application was submitted about a month after your shawn, i havent been on here in a while to update but I'll give a bit of good news and I have one question for anyone that could help out, or anyone who could possibly FIND out.....

My Application transfered to Moscow in November. Recieved November 30th. They just started working on it like last month so about.....February I think. As we all know it sits for 2 or 2 and a half months before they acknowledge they have even accepted it. Medical Results have been recieved.

Shawn let me know if they request and interview from your wife, i really hope they dont for either, i think we have all been run through the ringer enough, and had a poor ladies go through enough.

The good news!!!! My wife was accepted for a TRV, and has her plane ticketed booked to come March 23rd. So.... in like 18 days

Now the question to anyone that can help. Since she has been accepted and has the visa in her passport, i know they still do there "assessment" at the border (question them and process them).

When she applied she had a job, and her company currently moved the department outside moscow, so she didnt move with them because she was coming here so soon after.

The question to anyone is....

Do you think they will make this out to be a problem at the Port of Entry (Border) in Canada?? I would dieeeee if they made a big problem outta this and could you imagine how absolutely crushing it would be for a person to be accepted for a TRV, fly 10 hours then be turned around and sent back home, due to not having the same job as when applied for the TRV.

And I did call Immigration and they said that you cant update that information for the TRV because that file is considered closed as the visa is issued. And she will be updating that information for the Perm. Application.

I know im just working alot about it, but i think thats what we all do.

Just wondering what all your opinions are, or if anyone has any past knowledge or people who have been SENT BACK at a border even after obtaining a TRV.

and if anyone has any questions on the TRV application feel free to message me. and i can also kinda let you know what documents i all sent in, and maybe it will help any of you.
