Hi All,
Today was my landing interview and from today I am a Canadian Permanent Resident.
Details:
AOR: March 18, 2019
FSW Inland applicant
Ghost Update: 18 Dec 2019 and 8th Jan 2020
Inland applicants don't get the PPR, they directly get the landing interview request.
Documents required for the landing interview:
- Two photographs (you need it in the format specified by the CIC). Although the immigration officer only asked me for one.
- Questions asked at the interview: a) Ever convicted of any crimes? b) The date on which you entered Canada? c) Any dependents?
- Passport
- Landing interview email
The entire process took less than 20 mins. Just arrive their 15 mins in advance. You can also update the address on which you would like to get your PR card. I was told that I should get in 2 to 3 weeks' time.
You can use the COPR form and apply for the new Social Insurance Number and Health Card right away. To do so, you need to go to Service Canada.
Please don't get stressed when you find out that the
review required is required for Eligibility, Security, etc. It is pretty common, just make sure to send them all the documents using the web form. Also, note that they don't ask for the extra documents but it is better to send them the documents anyways. I am telling all this from my experience.
All the best fellas.
