In the landing interview they clearly say the following:

• You need to bring your in-Canada dependent(s), only if you have included them in your permanent residence application.

I am guessing that your wife is a dependent. So, I guess you both have to go together for the landing interview. I would suggest sending your wife's passport for the visa.

Did your wife already receive an invitation to the COPR? If yes, and you want to reschedule the interview date then you can call at 1-888-242-2100. You can also ask them if your wife can go alone as you still haven't received an invitation to the COPR.

What makes you think that it would take 3 months to get the next appointment? Don't trust the call center agents, they don't have much idea about the internal workload. I live in Toronto and a lot of new immigrants come here but still, it didn't take much time to get an appointment.

His wife's in India and hence doesn't need to go to interview. She will get copr and will do landing formalities at the airport when she comes to Canada. But she can't land before the landing interview as dependents can't become pr before primary candidate.

Ordered GCMS notes in November-didn't receive them yet.
What are the chances that Montreal will grant extension on Medicals? Anyone in similar situation with AOR over 7months?

Hi All,

Today was my landing interview and from today I am a Canadian Permanent Resident.

Details:
AOR: March 18, 2019
FSW Inland applicant
Ghost Update: 18 Dec 2019 and 8th Jan 2020

Inland applicants don't get the PPR, they directly get the landing interview request.
Documents required for the landing interview:

• Two photographs (you need it in the format specified by the CIC). Although the immigration officer only asked me for one.
• Questions asked at the interview: a) Ever convicted of any crimes? b) The date on which you entered Canada? c) Any dependents?
• Passport
• Landing interview email

The entire process took less than 20 mins. Just arrive their 15 mins in advance. You can also update the address on which you would like to get your PR card. I was told that I should get in 2 to 3 weeks' time.

You can use the COPR form and apply for the new Social Insurance Number and Health Card right away. To do so, you need to go to Service Canada.

Please don't get stressed when you find out that the review required is required for Eligibility, Security, etc. It is pretty common, just make sure to send them all the documents using the web form. Also, note that they don't ask for the extra documents but it is better to send them the documents anyways. I am telling all this from my experience.

Did you wait until receiving GCMS notes to learn what's on review to send supporting documents? Or were you proactive and sent more documents for all areas just in case? I've learned that I'm on RR on early December and so far I've requested two sets of notes but none of them arrived yet. I'm not too worried because my partner had a visa denial in the past, so I believe that's the reason for RR and there's not much I can do in this case, specially because it was a Canada visa denial and we're both now living in Canada, so they probably got all the info they need for reviewing that... But you never know, it might be another thing, so that's why I'm asking. I'm also FSW inland applicant.

Just send documents for your wife so that she gets her copr. Then you need to wait for your interview and once you're PR she will be able to land.

That is not correct. Your wife can send passport but won't be able to land. There are numerous people on this forum who have similar situation. It is definitely a miscommunication on the part of the officer and makes zero sense.

I think they will ask you to do the medical exam again, if your application goes over a year.

I had RR for my foreign work experience, so I proactively sent them the additional pertinent documents like payslip, new experience letter, etc. In your case, I don't think you can do much. They will probably investigate and find out why you had a visa rejection. Visa rejection should not be a red flag in your scenario as you somehow managed to get into Canada. All the best.

6month timer was complete three days . But looks like my application is still at stage 1. Now I am questioning about my eligibility itself and scared to death!!!!.


Anybody here have any idea on how long would be the wait before an officer picks it up?

I had a ghost update on Tuesday, 22nd. I called on Wednesday, January 23rd and the agent told me that everything is passed. The only thing left is for them to make a final decision. If you want to call, download the TextNow app. Make sure to put a Canadian city (don't allow the app to find you location automatically), and call the ircc phone number. I have called several times like that.
