Montréal Applicants Oct. 2017 after C6

When I took my test, a lot of the applicants were still getting their letter around 1 month after the DM. So I was hoping for the same. Now, it's been more than 2 months since my DM, and still waiting... And given that some of the ceremonies scheduled jumped to June 19, I'm not even sure that I'll be here for the ceremony as I will be traveling on June 29... We'll see ...

at least you got DM which's a positive thing . I am Oct 16th applicant still in process without having any idea about in what Stage my application is right now , I called them last week , she said waiting is 12 months !

Hi Clyde,

Many people are getting their oath letter around 2 months (sometimes more) after the DM. So yeah you're still good. I had my test on Feb 21 and still waiting

While I finished my interview, the agent told me I should be able to receive oath invitation after 4 to 8 weeks, and no more than 8 weeks!

Looks like I had too much faith in government agency....

Have you considered notifying then to not schedule your test in July?
Btw, you won't be able to travel (without problems) even if your oath is on June 23. They'll take away your PR card and it takes at least one week to get a passport.

Yes I thought about that. For now, I'm just waiting because I got hope this morning when I saw two new entries for ceremonies on June 1 and 4, which means I might still be able to have the ceremony on time (if they schedule more ceremonies in the weeks of June 4 and 11).

When the letter comes, if they scheduled it in July, I'll have to notify them that I wont be able to attend and I will need to ask them to rescheduled it.. and then I'll lose another couple of months until they reschedule another one. :/

Lol yeah never believe them. The guy told me 3-4 months until the ceremony... Technically, my case is still within his estimate so let's see... although it's starting to get tight for me...

Yeah I feel you. it sucks... I hope you hear back from them soon... they're super slow

Hi everyone,

First time posting on this forum since July 2015 when I got my PR. I used the forum a lot back then so I thought I'd check it out now when I'm in a new process!

Unfortunately for me, already more than 2 months since DM and still waiting for the friggin email! So frustrating especially that I need to travel for a full month at the end of June. And what's even more frustrating is when you see people with applications received after you and/or with DMs after you getting the oath letter before. So much randomness ...

Anyway, here are my details:
Montreal office

DM: March 15, 2018

I hope the Montreal office picks up its pace because it's much slower than other offices...

Took me 151 days from test to DM. But I was requested for additional info as I had lots of travel. Anyways today Montreal office is still recovering from the long weekend.

All my travel plans are on hold, and tickets are getting expensive! So I hope I'll be one of the lucky ones of June!
