Landed yesterday, officially a PR!! Sooo relieved to be done.

All US citizens are being processed at Mississauga, but not everyone being processed at Mississauga is a US citizen. Through a program called OB570 streaming, they are selecting certain straightforward applicants to be processed in Mississauga in addition to all the Americans.

Nobody is being processed at Ottawa at the moment.

KBH, you are something else :)

Now, I consider myself to be a fairly intelligent person who's pretty good at getting the information I need, and figuring stuff out. But, DAMN, you just know your stuff!

And that being said, I really do appreciate you sharing what you learn with the rest of us. Getting visibility into this black box process makes it so much more manageable.

Thanks :)

Aww, you're too sweet. Really I'm just a control freak who feels more in control of a situation the more I know about it.

Ended up talking to MP. Apparently everything with our file is in order. But at 10 months eligibility is not passed, security and criminality are not started.

She said there was a note put on our file last week asking pretty much why no one has touched our app

She also said that it is awaiting transfer back to Ottawa

Really no clue what to think at this point. Ready to give up

That really sucks. I'm so sorry to hear it. I was glad to see on the copy of the letter you got from the MP that at least they'll check in again in a month's time. Hopefully if they keep getting pinged by the MP's office they'll get their act together.

Fingers crossed for you!

Hopefully! I keep telling myself it could happen anyday. Only 55 days until the 12 month mark

She only said average is 12 months. Could go over.

She told me she opened a case for us. Whatever that means and to call back in a month if we have no updates

I have 2 months left of waiting. Does this not seem like a lot of progress to happen in 2 months?

I think a LOT can happen in 2 months, based on what I've seen in the spreadsheet. Especially Mississauga VO. Lots of BG Checks, DMs and PR requests happening within days or weeks of each other. Hang in there.

And having the MP checking in on your file, even just once a month, will hopefully make the difference.

Am I crazy to make a photocopy of everything before I send it on Friday?

I am petrified its going to get lost or something and I'm going to have to do the entire 170 pages I have ALL OVER again
:S

My husband -> the applicant <- thinks im slightly nuts

Oh, yeah! Save a copy of everything. This is a long process, and you're just not going to remember everything you sent and when, and every single detail. Being able to refer back to your own copies hopefully won't be necessary, but having it as an option is a must. At least for a control freak like me :)

Good luck.

It definitely won’t hurt!

Woooohooooo!!! Congrats! We might be landing next month!

You are not far from the finish line. Your application was received 8 days after mine, and I got "In Process" on Jan. 30, 2018, "DM" and "PPR" on Feb.1, 2018. You can do the math, although it's not guaranteed. :)

If I have learned anything in this process, it's that timelines are variable and unpredictable.

I'm super happy for you :) but I make no assumptions about what that means for my timeline :)
