Lol , no idea whats going on with processing center. Passed my test, no idea when I am gonna get an oath email
I’m a Aug 2019 applicant. I took the test outside Canada. And I am outside Canada now. My portal has everything ready except oath since Sep 26. I plan to come back once they arrange me for the oath. I wait for the call from CIC Mississauga be because I have a friend from Vancouver did the same thing and she received a call from Cic to ask for the return date. My question is : does Mississauga CIC usually call ppl? What the phone numbe we can see ? I have a bad sleep for the past month because of worrying about the call during middle night and have so many scam calls as well while the Canadian number turns on. Once I pick a Canadian call, it cost $3.5/min. I can’t afford other calls except CIC. Please help. Thank you very much for advance.
Other posts have mentioned that they resumed the file once you returned. You should come back and ask them to schedule the oath.
never heard cic calling anyone for the dates! Are you sure your friend is telling the truth?
Thank you for replying me. She told the truth. But my portal updated as I sent the web form to ask the process. I can’t go back and wait. How do I know they wait for me to contact?

If you can’t go back, why are you taking the citizenship?
i got decision made on Oct 24; Ceremony not started yet. I see that the tracker has your name and the oath letter says received Oct 26. didn't you get yours?
Then come back to CA and tell them you are back and ready for oath. You can raise a webform when tickets are booked with exact date
That's odd. Might be a mix up from editor. My oath still says not started.

I skipped 3 oath ceremony requests due to covid travel ban, and childbirth in India. I communicated CIC with proper explanations with proofs and they accepted to postpone 3 times.
Now I received the FINAL oath ceremony request. I am in a situation where my spouse and child's sponsorship applications are in process and have almost at end of the process. We just waiting for the passport request process.
I heard if I complete the citizenship process now, my son cannot enter the country as PR so the sponsorship application is invalid, and must apply for a citizenship certificate for him.
Can anyone here please help here with the process that I need to follow? Thanks a lot

I am not an expert but based on what I know from past, these rules could have changed!
your son will have to come to Canada as PR. Citizenship will be granted later on if he stays in Canada as PR.
citizenship at birth is granted by birth in county or if your parents are citizens at time of birth. Since your child is born before you became the citizen, he’ll need to go through PR->Citizen route.
the challenge is however once you take the oath, you’ll not be able to leave the country since they ask you to cut your PR card on screen. You need to wait in Canada to get the citizenship certificate, then apply for Canadian passport and India visa before going back. So till your husband and son can travel to Canada or you go back, you’ll be separate.
The way out is if you need to need to go back, come to canada for oath and go back. You’ll need an address where someone can receive you citizenship cert and send to India in a secure tracked post and then you go to Canada embassy in india and apply for Canadian passport.
