This is what I was concerned about, but yesterday was the first I saw anything on my application about an Oath ceremony. And I've received no emails about it either. Could it be a mistake on their end? It doesn't make sense to me that the date they supposedly told me I have my ceremony was the day of the ceremony.I am not sure if other people have gone through the post properly but it looks like you have missed your oath on Feb 14, 2022, and now your case is in oath ceremony is in progress and you will be invited again. But you need to give a solid reason why you missed your ceremony. You need to act fast and proactively.
I understood this to mean that an oath ceremony has been scheduled; the date of this action was Feb 14th and not that the date of the oath ceremony was Feb 14th. @Catcher8587 perhaps a call to IRCC is necessary. I hope you are in Canada.I am not sure if other people have gone through the post properly but it looks like you have missed your oath on Feb 14, 2022, and now your case is in oath ceremony is in progress and you will be invited again. I check my application every day so I am positive this was just added yesterday, despite the date of February 14.
Would they ever send an Oath invite in the physical mail? I haven't been home in a couple of weeks so that's the only way I could have missed it.
Stranger things have happened. Someone received an oath date for August. I wonder if someone at IRCC got confused between 8/2 and 2/8!I was thinking could it not be an error? Should be March 14? That would be 2 weeks from Monday past? Its weird, I also check every day. But then again this IRCC anything is possible
Called them up today, and yes it was a mistake! Got a very nice CSR on the phone too who said they will follow up. Thank you!Invite will be sent through email.
It can be a mistake at their end so you need to call immediately and speak with them.
But that is the line that appears when oath happens.
Before the new tracker system was introduced my 3 friends who applied at the same day got to know last year that the Test invitation was sent via email and they never received it, they found out when one of them called for an update and they said You have missed the test and we need evidence and strong reason on why you missed. It was the wildest of dreams because they never received it and IRCC never accepted. 2 of them are still waiting - 1 received the test invite after 8 months. That's why I will advise you to be proactive and I wish you a piece of good luck for a good CSR on the call.
Please whatever you do not ask them to delay your oath. If you can delay your travel or arrange after oath, there are plenty of examples on the forums of people that have gotten their certificates and passports quickly after oath. You can show urgent travel/flights booked. If you delay, you could be looking at several months (some even waiting for a year) and are kicking themselves now. If you have to leave, you have to leave and I guess its not the end of the world, you might get lucky, but are you willing to roll that dice?Called them up today, and yes it was a mistake! Also, does anyone know how long the citizenship ceremony could be delayed for? I may need to be out of the country for several months, so I may be unable to take it for a while.
Honestly, yes I think I would be ok with them delaying it that long at this point. I hate that it has to come to this, but I'm in a difficult situation at the moment. I'm more interested in ensuring that my application is not considered abandoned or something if I wait too long. Please whatever you do not ask them to delay your oath. With IRCC and one crisis after another, the uncertainty is massive. If you get an option, take it and get done with it, unless your trip outside is critical and cannot be moved around.Called them up today, and yes it was a mistake! My wife's & Kids passport were picked up today from Mississauga PP office. Their journey comes to an end with IRCC whereas mine continuesReceived the certificates today (Spouse & Kid).
IRCC replied to our email that they were mailed on Feb-22, that came out to be true based on the stamp date on the envelope.
The oath was on Feb-9, Mississauga office
