Hi everyone,

Long story short, I contracted the services of immigration lawyers and they never include my resume with the Ontario nominee program. The package was recieved in January and 5 months later they return the package due to the missing CV......I lost 5 months waiting for nothing, it's just frustrating and yes, they are incompetents. They say they're going to send a reconsideration letter and see if they accept my application. Any one with experience with this?

Sorry to hear that... But another case where an immigration lawyer screwed the whole things up. Too many ppl on this forum faced this.

It doesn't take a genius to prepare and submit an immigration application. You guys pay thousands to lawyers to mess up your application, lol.

I don't even understand why lawyers would handle immigration stuff, unless you go for an immigration related law suit.

I applied for OINP Human Capital Resources Stream, recently got my PR and landed.
Didn't hire no lawyers. It was easier than doing University assignment back in the days.

You have to have ownership in these things.
Yes, you can blame all you want, but their goal of making money has been fulfilled
while you are still not a PR.

I advise you to take ownership and at least audit what they put together before they send it.
Even better, do it yourself.

You're lucky if the stream has not been closed.
But I guess that's not the case?

Then you must wait for it to open again near 2017 or late 2016.

FSW Outland, returned last week.
Sorry I meant when did OINP send the application back to you , not when you received it back. There should be a date on the Purolator package.

Very true, I intended to hire a Vancouver lawyer to handle my case before I knew about this forum since I thought EE is a complicated process. However, after he gave me a quote of $5000 fee, I basically said "f**k it, I'm going to do it by myself".

Another thing for everyone to consider before hiring a lawyer is that if you all go to a well known and large consultant firm, it also means they will have hundred or thousand applications to take care of as well, beside yours. Do you think they will give your application the utmost attention it deserves like you will do? Take a look at the SINP with a quota of 500, and it was filled within 24 hrs. How a consultant firm will decide which client's application they send and which one is not? How do you know they will pick your application instead of other's?

Only hire someone to solve your complicated questions and double check your documents. Educate yourself, get a hold on your application, send everything by yourself and pray.

I'm also very sorry for you situation, OP.

Yes, I got the same question. When did OINP send the package, when did it get delivered? Which country are you in? How did the local courier contact you, at what time?

I am only asking this question because many applications in January are being returned and I'm afraid about mine.
