If I withdraw my application, will I get a refund from CIC?

The fees will be refunded only if we have not started processing your application.

You will need to contact the office responsible for processing your application to request to withdraw your application. They will advise you whether you are eligible for a refund based on where your application is in the process. Contact information for the office processing your application can be found on the correspondence that you received from us.

If you do not know which office is processing your application and you submitted your application outside Canada, contact the Canadian embassy, high commission or consulate.
you submitted your application inside Canada, contact the CIC Call Centre.

Note that fee returns for Federal Skilled Worker applications that were terminated as a result of the Jobs, Growth and Long-term Prosperity Act are handled differently. For more FAQs on this subject

Brother, don't do it. Because I think you have taken this decision out of frustration(i guess). After waiting an eternal period don't let it go now. Be patience, good news is about to knock your door.

when we started our journey at 01-2011; the a-hole agent told us it will take NMT 8-10 months!! and here we are now 39 months gone!! damn!! what I did was, I kept telling myself/ my wife, that IT will be done, it may take long then the usual, but IT will be done, so don't worry, do your jobs, whatever happens will happen no matter what. do your daily work, and be good at it. I'm not sure that I succeeded 100%, but I think I kept trying.
just keep moving on. and always remember what Forrest Gump's Mother taught us: "life's like a box of chocolates. you never know what u gonna get!!" so keep eating the chocolates and while doing it enjoy it too!! 8)

Yesterday my agent informed me that Canadian government asked cic to complete
The backlogs by 30th April 2014... What can we understand from that ? Can we expect something soonest ..?

I didnt hear such things and could not find anything on CIC website as well...

Probably a misinformation given by that agent.Such specific date (within apr.. ) is definitely astonishing...

For some obvious reason he didn't share me the source of such news.
He just told me you will definately hear some news by 30th April, as Canadian govt
Given ultimatum to clear the backlogs by same period...I am not fully satisfied though..but who
Know...may be its true...let's our finger crossed.
