Oh by the way I'm the sponsor(husband)

Well that police officer said shes going to write a note on the issue and what happened. but when I got arrested. I got arrested in a good note and ended in a good note. The loss prevention officer told the police I was behaving well and good and answering their question nicely. Officer probably saw me as just a teenager doing things. I also even went to get my police record check downtown ottawa two months ago for job interview. It says i'm clean. But If the application ask for if I ever been part of criminal crime. Does stealing a $10 item from walmart count especially when I was 17. In the for so far I put I didn't commit any crime. But as to government of Canada I have with stealing. So what do you think? I'm Canadian also.

The cousin is not my cousin but my wife's cousin. Yes I also figure that just cause its someone else negative history, shouldn't impact mine either. Cause my friend that sponsored his wife from lebanon last year. His older brother probably got huge history with the police here. Now my friend is here in Canada happy. So that could be the same scenario right?

yeah I'm going to answer everything truthfully to the T!!! Thanks for letting me know. If someone can possibly answer my first question that'll be great. if I need to put yes I have committed a crime in the past at age 17 and need to write a letter about what it is. I would be more than happy to do so. Also my brother is now in RCMP training note**(he got arrested also when he was teenager too) but is very close to becoming an officer so it really puzzles me. What does "committed a crime" truly mean in these type of serious applications.

Calvin.

I would leave your Q1 to others in this forum.

TANMEX - how is your application moving?

For those who got PPR recently, my wife's ecas status changed to DM. Waiting for embassy to send the paperwork back.

So i'm not going nuts yet about this, but two questions now I just realized.

1. I was arrested for stealing from walmart when I was 17. I have no criminal record but the police officer end up arresting me and releasing because I told her if my mom see me in handcuff she'll faint. After that no more stealing and no more interacting with police for anything illegal. My question is on the forms that ask me if I have ever committed a crime under Canada Act code....etc. What exactly do I put there even though I don't have a record but the police officer still written me up for such an incidence.

2. Now this is weird part. My wife's cousin lives in Montreal and hes been living there for quite a while now. Maybe even have his Citizenship and he worked for rcmp or Canada Coast Guard as mechanic I think. When he came here I believe he sponsored his wife at that time from Venezuela to come Canada. After the wife came, she filed for divorce and left him. So all in all, that cousin might have some sort of negative history with CIC.

So I need to be truthful as much as possible and I'm changed person from my teen days. Never ever got in trouble with police after that. Also with my wife's cousin issue he's going to ask immigration about it and see what they would say and let us know. While waiting, like to see what you guys suggest what I should be doing.

buenas noches

Calvin.

For #1, I would say whether you committed a crime should not be up to you to decide and not even up to police but up to the judge.
If the judge did not make such a decision, I doubt you can self-incriminate yourself with a crime.
A crime normally has to be proven, and in this case it sounds like it wasn't.

Hi Nara ,

I'm still waiting for ARC request or Passport Request , the embassy received my PGR November 5th , judging from your timeline I should hear from them in the next 2 to 3 weeks .

You should received your CoPR very soon , I think within a month for PPR .

Thank you

Ok, here is the deal. My ecas and the linked application both changed to Decision Made but today the linked application changed again instead "this application has been approved" now it says "not started yet " but we already got PPR, is this normal ?????

That's Normal don't panic over it , that's another proof that eCas is not a reliable tool .

I suspect my ordering of GCMS notes would have triggered them to take a look at my file earlier. I ordered GCMS notes 3-4 days before the PPR. I am waiting to see what my GCMS notes have to say. I would look at bellatopazio and shaffi martinez's time line as well. Until PGR phase, our timelines were similar.

Hi Nara ,

Before you received PPR did your eligibility review and background checks showed Complete Or In Progress in MyCIC ? Mine still showing Review in Progress ever since they created this thing of linking apps back in July .
