Hello everybody;

The status on my application hasn't changed since a month ago, it say "Medical results have been received", anyone have an idea of how long I should wait to see a change?

thanks! :)
Honestly I've been keeping track and it seems, at least for me, every two months or so there's a next step to the application or information received. Hang in there!

Hey Jalisse. That's good you heard from your lawyer. I know it's an interview but it's a good sign it's next month! Did your lawyer inquire or did you receive an email automatically from immigration?

Also did you receive ARC request yet?

Hey shaffi,

My lawyer just notified me since he receives the emails. He didn't inquire. I'm still in the process of sending PGR as it's getting translated, and fingerprints are getting digitalized and sent to RCMP. So was surprised to get interview date....but not complaining! Nope still no news on ARC....still waiting to begin that process!

Vlza,

Do you have any clue where my wife will need to get medical exam done and her police check done? Shes from Margarita Island. I checked on CIC and it looks like they have a few assigned in CCS. But that is seriously so scary going there now. Whats you're experience?

HI. I got my medical exams done in Maracaibo as I live in Maracaibo. The process take several days. It is done at the hospital clínico Maracaibo with Dr Tatiana Briceño. She very nice. First you got to go there with original and copy of the passport plus some forms you have to download from the link they send you. This is the email immigration_mcbo@outlook.es, you email them and they send you an automatic email with all they information you need to bring for the first appointment plus all the medical exams your wife has to perform. The first day you go and show the secretary all the papers they require as I told you before then she Set an appointment for your wife. Probably it could be the same day, it takes a time for the Dr to check you as she is very busy. Once the Dr make the first fiscal exam and ask lot of questions she gives you the orders to perform the rest of the exams most of them done in the same clinic. For me it was like 5 times going to the clinic to get everything done. It's a tedious process but you have to do it. I recommen doing it in Maracaibo instead of Caracas. And you can pay with cash or debit card.

Kay thank you for information. I don't think my wife is familiar or know anyone in Maracaibo and if it takes mulitple times to the clinic I think that would be much of headache cause she need to find a place to stay. She has family in Caracas so I guess she won't have choice but go there.

Hello, I'm working on this form IMM5532E now.

Part B- INFORMATION ABOUT THE PRINCIPAL APPLICANT - TO BE FILLED OUT BY THE PRINCIPAL APPLICANT
2. Do you have any relatives living in Canada?

Do I need to fill this part in? My wife two older cousins are living in Montreal right now. They don't talk that often at all. If I do include their names and information, is it beneficial to the case vs leaving their names out? Or will CIC think we're lying or hiding something and start asking questions like "Why won't you include family members in application if they're in Canada?"

3. Consent to disclose
If there is an investigation in marriage fraud about you, do you consent to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and the Canada Border Services Agency releasing the results to your spouse or partner?
I checked off for this"Yes"

I understand the meaning of this question. But how does Canada go through with this type of investigation? My wife is from Venezuela and I'm from Canada. We got married in Argentina and I have the papers. Do they contact Buenos Aires, Argentina City Hall to see if our names are in their marriage file systems? I have all the marriage certificates but in spanish. I guess they need to be translated to english.

1) You must truthfully mention the names, if you know.
2) Canada doesn't go into investigation, unless there are major red flags which they unearth in future. Yes, if you look into country specific guidelines, you would note that they have to be translated by certified translator.

So i'm not going nuts yet about this, but two questions now I just realized.

1. I was arrested for stealing from walmart when I was 17. I have no criminal record but the police officer end up arresting me and releasing because I told her if my mom see me in handcuff she'll faint. After that no more stealing and no more interacting with police for anything illegal. My question is on the forms that ask me if I have ever committed a crime under Canada Act code....etc. What exactly do I put there even though I don't have a record but the police officer still written me up for such an incidence.

2. Now this is weird part. My wife's cousin lives in Montreal and hes been living there for quite a while now. Maybe even have his Citizenship and he worked for rcmp or Canada Coast Guard as mechanic I think. When he came here I believe he sponsored his wife at that time from Venezuela to come Canada. After the wife came, she filed for divorce and left him. So all in all, that cousin might have some sort of negative history with CIC.

So I need to be truthful as much as possible and I'm changed person from my teen days. Never ever got in trouble with police after that. Also with my wife's cousin issue he's going to ask immigration about it and see what they would say and let us know. While waiting, like to see what you guys suggest what I should be doing.

buenas noches

Calvin.

Regd Q1 was there an arrest record? Are you not a PR/ Canadian Citizen?

Q2 you should be fine, and you should mention your cousins name in the form.
My wife's 2 relatives came to Canada 20 years ago illegally, and got themselves converted to PR and then citizenship. We declared them in our forms, along with their addresses. Just because someone else have negative history need not have impact in your application process. But importantly you should be truthful. If not, in the eyes of Canada, it can be used against you for misrepresentation.

Oh by the way I'm the sponsor(husband)

Well that police officer said shes going to write a note on the issue and what happened. but when I got arrested. I got arrested in a good note and ended in a good note. The loss prevention officer told the police I was behaving well and good and answering their question nicely. Officer probably saw me as just a teenager doing things. I also even went to get my police record check downtown ottawa two months ago for job interview. It says i'm clean. But If the application ask for if I ever been part of criminal crime. Does stealing a $10 item from walmart count especially when I was 17. In the for so far I put I didn't commit any crime. But as to government of Canada I have with stealing. So what do you think? I'm Canadian also.

The cousin is not my cousin but my wife's cousin. Yes I also figure that just cause its someone else negative history, shouldn't impact mine either. Cause my friend that sponsored his wife from lebanon last year. His older brother probably got huge history with the police here. Now my friend is here in Canada happy. So that could be the same scenario right?

yeah I'm going to answer everything truthfully to the T!!! Thanks for letting me know. If someone can possibly answer my first question that'll be great. if I need to put yes I have committed a crime in the past at age 17 and need to write a letter about what it is. I would be more than happy to do so. Also my brother is now in RCMP training note**(he got arrested also when he was teenager too) but is very close to becoming an officer so it really puzzles me. What does "committed a crime" truly mean in these type of serious applications.

Calvin.
